College basketball is largely an irrelevant sport except for two weeks in March every year. If there was any importance in CBB, UCONN would never have been left out of a Power 5 conference. Also, nobody was talking about Kansas when there was all the hubbub involving conference realignment and the Big 12 breaking up. And if Kentucky and Indiana weren't in the conferences that they are in, none of the other Power 5 conferences would be showing any interest in those schools joining their conferences either. Success in college basketball means absolutely zilch in the big picture.

Good point. Football drives the bus. Still would be nice to have one basketball title though

I wouldn't even care if we never won a title in basketball. All I'm asking is for 1 or 2 final four runs and a few elite 8s. March Madness is the most fun and entertaining month in sports. It's even more fun when Alabama is apart of it.
