Thats one thing that Bear Bryant did do. If Bama won the game, it was all the players doing. If Bama lost, it was only on him. I have great respect for that.

about Freeze. He has had a very open quarrel with Bro Wallace and Wallace's family for two years now. He never misses an opportunity to throw Bro under the bus. And his half time pressor was full if blame and pointing fingers at his guys. Even said "we're lucky it's not 21-0 right now" referring to Bro's multiple INTs

Only problem I had with Sabans comments that I thought was a bit cowardly is he said that the freshman who kicked the last field goal "didn't hit it good" and then the play happened. No nick, the kid booted the shite out of it and I thought he had won it, he is no way to blame for that play.

Not a single "kid" played in that game. 18 is the end of "kid" talk. This is one of my biggest pet peaves.

I will debate this with you. our oldest is 27 years old. A practicing attorney in Atlanta. Our youngest is 17 and will go to college next fall. We have two more daughters in between. One is a college senior. During this time period of being a young adult, the trials and errors of adulthood do take place and its harder on some than others.

We dont have kids who were great athletes. None experienced the kind of pressure that an SEC player might deal with. I can see how the pressures of the daily grind and the games and especially the press and fans, could be very difficult.

The worst coach EVER for throwing his team under the bus was Barnett when he was at Colorado. It was disgraceful.

Saban came across as a disappointed Dad. It's a psychological trick. His players feel as if they have let him down and he has the Bama fan base so cowed they would NEVER publically criticize him. Part of having a God Complex is a belief in one's own infallibility. Part of being a good peasant is fear of The Dear Leader.

Gumps won't even notice he threw the players under the bus.

Yet nick said the responsibility was with him.

This is true...but also called his kids out for various mistakes on the field during a presser, throwing them under the bus.

Oh yeah, absolutely. Every loss was because of "blown assignments", "we had the right defense called but our guy was out of position", etc.

It was all his fault they didn't have a couple less fatasses on the FG team on the last play.

someone needs to post the video of Les Miles press conference after Arky game as a reference to how a coach should talk about his players

Perhaps there's a correlation between how Miles treats his players, how Saban treats his players, and wins on the field.

Hmmm....

Holy shite did he hang our db out to dry after the Iowa game.

I don't remember his spiel after the TOTAL COLOSSAL MELTDOWN IN 2002 against Arky (Miracle on Markham) that cost LSU a spot in the SEC championship game.

Yeah, no Bama fans have questioned any of his game decisions on Saturday. Keep your Obama comparisons on the poli board, tard.
