Did they release plans for the new stadium? When is it supposed to be built? I know The Joe is old...but it's not as bad as some of you make believe. No renderings, but they're basically going to tear the Joe down to a basic skeleton and utilities and build another stadium on the same site. It'll have a little of the Joe left in it, but not much from what I've heard.

Alabama is a legendary football program. And as a baseball team, we're a legendary football program

yes, i've always figured that the football greatness simply carried over to all the other athletic teams at bama

Other way around. Our problem is the pitching, and how we completely fold if we surrender a few runs. We'll randomly give up these 3+ run innings but do well the rest of the time

We don't have one starter hitting over .300

Look through our schedule, and look at the box scores. I've watched a majority of the games this year, and hitting isn't the problem. Could we hit better? Absolutely. But we're losing because of pitching

We are 4th in the SEC in runs scored. We are 10th in the SEC in runs allowed. We don't hit for a high average, but seem to explode for runs when needed.

I think your coach has the program headed in the right direction...

The program may be headed in the right direction but they need a decent hitting coach in the worst way. I've NEVER.....EVER seen a team that swings at more 2-0 and 3-0 pitches in my life. Here is how a typical Bama at bat goes:

Always takes the first pitch....ball 1
Pitcher misses with ball 2 (2-0 count)
Swing...and a foul ball, ground out, or flyout

EVERY...SINGLE...TIME

yall need to become basketball and baseball fans so that the off-season isn't completely abysmal...

NBA finals and college baseball tourney going on right now...

I absolutely love the playoff system college baseball has....when you look at the asterisks by an NCAA Champions name, its actually a good thing!

But Andy Phillips was on two CWS teams and played for the Yankees.

You're obviously not familiar with the Alabama basketball following.

Baseball routinely had a top ten national attendance until the last couple of years.

Andy Phillips is a good ole Demopolis boy, I know his family well. I was hoping he could come in a train up the boys well. I guess we'll have to wait and see if he can improve the hitting with these young guys. If there isn't marked improvement next season, they need to find someone else pronto.

Nice flame. It is sad how much space Alabama occupies in your skull.

Absolutely no reason Bama AD shouldn't put a quality program together as well as fans expecting one.

Is Bama in a regional already or do you need another win in the SEC tourney?
