Coaching at Alabama >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Coaching at LSU

Why go to a program that will never win a championship again?

Yeah I'll rephrase: I don't remember this being proclaimed as a down year for Bama by people that know what the frick they are talking about.

Three reasons:

1) better coaching;
2) better quality depth
3) Sims turned out to be half-way decent. Jennings didn't.

So 2/3rds planning, 1/3rd luck.

Starting freshman at LT, new QB, questions in the defensive backfield, lost Mosley... Rebuilding.

We will be rebuilding more often than not now though. This year we had young people step up and we have gotten better every week whereas in years past we have not, that is the only major difference IMO.

The answer is all about offensive adaptation, since both schools always have great defenses. Saban has evolved from a "run first, pass when necessary" offense to a hybrid approach that might have us throw six or seven straight passes just to keep teams off balance. Miles has not evolved from the general "run first and keep running even if it's not working" school. Not criticizing him, because I like him, but since LSU's defense is always superb, it has to be the offense.

The only glaring problem with LSU is at quarterback. Without a passing game we are forced to run the ball into a stacked box. The defense is young but has played pretty well.

Some of your receivers have had stone hands lately too. It's not just on the QB.

Why is Alabama still good and continues to dominate whereas LSU waxes and wanes with the loss of talent? This was supposed to be a "down" year for Bama too but here they are again - #1 in the the CFP

Dumbass, Bama has not lost near the underclassmen that LSU has.

ummm....no one was complaining last year when Cam Cameron's 1st season as one of the most prolific offensive season in LSUs history. Never before did LSU have a QB who passed for 3000 yds, an RB who ran for over 1000 yds, and 2 WRs who had over 1000 yds receiving. I think that makes for a pretty decent OC.
