My discretionary money goes to the Utah Crimson Club, so I have no influence. I am an Auburn grad however and this looks like a Freeze flip in the making. AU has already hired some people associated with him, and his Dad played at AU.

My mom was his first grade teacher. He’s all Bama. Just enjoying the process.

Unfortunately, NIL.

I think I may take a break from this nonsense until the NIL stuff is regulated. It won't be eliminated so it is what it is. Who knew room/board/education/stipend is worthless.

I think he is all Alabama as well but what does your mom being his teacher 10 years ago have to do with anything lol

He still visits the school and mentors the kids. He told my mom over a month ago he’s going to Alabama. Don’t flame me bro - just telling you what I know.

So she groomed him to be a Bama signee back in first grade? Damn, Bama recruiting is on another level.

As good of an opinion as anything else.

Should’ve probably led with that in your first comment. And since you didn’t I don’t believe it at all.

I would be very surprised if RW or his family were heavily influenced by NIL. Maybe they will be, but I just don’t see it. Strong nuclear family not hurting for money, which is admittedly unusual for a lot of the top prospects.

We'll see.

Auburn should have plenty of budget because we keep whiffing on players in the portal.

Well then, maybe we do have a chance. He is set to visit, but I anticipated it was more just a chance to slay some Austin chicks.. This sounds like exactly the type of guy Sark goes after.

Yes, Texas pays NIL.. and perhaps Texas pays quite well, but we don’t go after guys that are only about NIL.

See Evan Stewart.

We could use him next year (talent wise) and we could pay whatever he is asking for (money wise) but this is exactly the type of dude you don’t want on your team (culture wise).

No one asked your opinion, interloper.

Name all of the Bama WRs in the NFL, then do Auburn.

He’s an Auburn legacy. Says a lot about the state of your program that you people think money will be the deciding factor, doesn’t it?

I don't know either. AU probably has less, and so does Ohio State, Clemson, etc.. I think it is more about Freeze WR and Saban WR. Both are well represented in the NFL, so I don't think that matters much. But Roll Tide.

Rarely helps Auburn. And even when it does (Nix) he regrets the decision later on.

Maybe? I really have no idea. Do you?

When I was a student at AU I worked the desk at the AU athletic complex for two years. I got daily athlete meals out of the deal as well. If you asked me or a random fan how recruiting really works we'd probably answer the same. I have no idea. There's shenanigans, but I'm no PI.
