Why doesn't Grant recruits NBA caliber players to Alabama? Who is the last person to go the league from Bama? Gee? Gee that's been a long time.

It's all about Grant's style of play. Alabama has the talent, but the offensive system these players are in prevents them from putting up great numbers across the board. Releford definitely has the NBA scoring talent but he is averaging 1 assist per game. 1 assist from your starting point guard... Not to mention Obasohan is leading the team in assists and is only averaging 2.5 per game.

I really do believe that Alabama has the talent, but they are hindered and totally on their own offensively under Grant.

Well, you can watch and see… we'll recruit some shooters for next year, then they'll suddenly suck at shooting once they get in grant's offense… just like all the formerly good shooters he's had so far.

We have a couple sharp-shooters coming in so we will see in the coming years. But Cooper and Levi have been getting plenty of open shots all year, and Cooper just misses them all while Levi is too scared to shoot.

I have actually been satisfied with the offense overall this season. We just couldn't hit shite yesterday and we were missing wide open shots. Doesn't help that our best scorer was hand-cuffed with fouls early, and didn't play well at all when he was in and our second best scorer had a very off night as well. If you would have given me Retin and Trevor's stat-line before the game, I would've expected a 25 pt blowout.

to beat duke you have to get use to your best players getting suspicious fouls early. the night of JJ tears we had tyrus and baby in foul trouble early.

Yeah I'm sure he doesn't try recruiting NBA talent. Why would he?

Cooper is the type of player that gets rattled and rushed. Three years of jacking up contested 3's with 2 seconds left on the shot clock haven't done much to build his confidence. Levi, just isn't a great shooter. But, he's a smart player, and tries to wait for a good shot. So, you guys can say he's "afraid" to shoot, but it's not that. He just knows how to play and shoots 3's when he's open and in rhythm. That's why he's leading the team in 3pt field goal percentage, and has the second most 3's (5) behind Releford. He does that despite not really being a great shooter. He doesn't force bad shots, therefore, in Grant's shitty offense, he doesn't take many.

Levi was left open on the 3pt line the entire time last night and refused to shoot. I'm not sure what else you can call that.

Cooper wasn't the one hoisting the last second shots the last 2 years. That was Releford and Lacey. Cooper has been missing wide open 3s his whole damn career. He has the tools, but like you said he gets rattled way too easily.

Grant has had a shitty offensive throughout his tenure at Alabama, but to say it's the reason we don't have any good shooters this year is laughable. All we have been shooting this year is wide open 3s and outside of Releford and Randolph we are missing practically all of them.
