I expect our offense to be just as effective in 2015, as long as the OL can improve. You idiots believed Cooper was an overrated WR at the beginning of the season, so I know we have another WR that can be productive for us.

Our running game will improve since Yeldon was never 100%.

Coker may not be as mobile as Sims but he has decent footwork and a big arm. I think a year working with Kiffin will make all the difference. For Christs sake Kiffin made Sims into the best QB in the SEC.

Big question will be on the OL. We trade experience for talent but will need to replace an all american at LG. Bama is also replacing the RG and RT but everyone who isn't related to the outgoing starters will tell you we are excited about a change there. Bradley Bozeman and Grant Hill are likely replacements and they both gained significant experience this season.

So basically the matchup is going to be the LSU front 7 against a revamped OL with a higher ceiling than the 2014 model. Bama WRs against LSU DBs is no contest,I would think.

Average low to mid 30s scoring like every other year. One way or another.

I'd say that's probably right. But that is par for the course when Bama and lsu take the field. The battle in the trenches will be where the game is won.

Not sure if the LSU dbs will totally out class the Bama WRs. They have the experience edge but both groups are full of highly rated athletes. Plus the new DC for lsu might negate some of that experience. Who from lsu is leaving early for the NFL? I know kwon, Danielle, and one of the jalens have declared.

I think Saban continues letting Kiffin open up the offense. Let's face it....the days of 2012 where our o-line could maul anyone in front of it are gone. The days of 2011 where our corners could lock down anyone are gone. In modern college football you have to be able to score a lot of points.

Jalen Collins is leaving... Though its speculated Rashard Robinson will be back with the team next year and he wouldn't have started anyway. Tre White comes back and Kevin Tollver will see significant PT as a true fresh.

As far as anyone knows, Mills is coming back though an official announcement is still forthcoming. And even though Chavis is gone, Raymond isn't going anywhere.

ETA: Blake Sims also had 120 passing through the first 59 minutes. Based on what y'all lost and what we return, I could see another 9-6 type game.

Like every year, it will depend on the O-line and QB. There's plenty of talent everywhere else. What our offense looks like will depend on the talent and strengths of those two areas.

Does LSU return a lot on the DL? I know godcheaux (sp?) was a good contributor as a freshman but I don't look at him as a guy who can anchor a whole line like a dorsey, spears, etc. Seems like the LSU DL talent has been in decline over the last few years, especially with so many guys leaving early. Is Daylon Mack still a possibility for yall?

Who are the projected starters for the LSU DL? I'm sure there are some big mofos waiting their turn

Mack is all aTm.

Starting DL should look something like this.

DE Sione Teuhema
DT Davon Godchaux
DT Trevonte Valentine/Christian Lacouture
DE Tashawn Bower

Weak at DE, but VERY strong at DL and Beckwith will be All-SEC at MLB.

You're kidding, right? Sims was hot garbage until the final drive in the 4th.

I saw him lead his team passing at will to win late in the 4th QTR. Last time I checked football was a 60 minute game.

You saw him hitting wideouts who were given entirely too much cushion in a prevent defense. Thankfully that's now aTm's problem.

The running game will have to carry the load until the QB situation gets sorted out. However, I'm not that concerned considering how far Blake came over the course of the season.

I expect Coker to win the job but his release will have to speed up.

That is maybe the worst starting DL I've seen under Les since he got to LSU.

Granted, some of those guys may have breakout years. But there doesn't seem to be any game changers among that group, at this point.

just depends on the qb ... bmiller ain't coming to bama, but it's frustrating that we've recruited a lot of talent at that position but are still talking about transfers ... i wouldn't mind putting one of our 2 freshman in there and throwing caution to the wind, but i'm gonna guess that is not nick saban's line of thinking ...
