This is one of those years where it's bad the SEC is down. The SEC absolutely needs UGA to win out to have a team in the CFP.

If Texas wins out I do not see Bama getting in, even if they win out. Texas will also be conference champions, also have 1 loss and also has the head to head over Bama. Sorry Bama but regular season games matter, you shouldn't have lost that game to Texas in September.

Whether we like it or not the facts are either Ohio State or Michigan are going undefeated and will win the Big Ten. That team is automatically in. If Florida State goes undefeated and wins the ACC they are automatically in. And considering the Pac-12 is a far superior league to the SEC this year either an undefeated Washington or a one loss Oregon is automatically in.

Florida State is the best hope right now, in the sense that maybe Louisville trip them up in the ACC Championship Game and knocks them out of the CFP.

But flat out, if UGA wins out the CFP is the following:

Ohio State/Michigan, Florida State, Georgia, Washington/Oregon (Texas and Alabama left out).

If Bama beats UGA in the SEC Championship Game:

Ohio State/Michigan, Florida State, Washington/Oregon, Texas (Georgia and Alabama left out).

The SEC is not going to get the benefit of the doubt it does most years. The league is simply down this year.

How many times in the divisional format has the SEC champion lost an OOC game at home by two possessions?

Iowa is ranked 16. Tells you everything you need to know about the rankings and about the Big10.

So is LSU and Ole Miss. The four aforementioned teams would also wax Oregon and Washington.

If GA dawg walks UT at Neyland today, this team isn’t losing to anyone

Those chaos scenarios will be a moot point

TN don't give a shite now. They aren't playing like the were beginning of the season.

Bama’s easiest way in minus complete chaos.

Oregon Beats Washington.

In that scenario Bama would have the best win against #1 Georgia, Best Loss against #3 Texas, Higher SOS, and more ranked wins.

Oregon would have a win against #5 Wash, a loss to #5 Wash, 60 something strength of schedule, and less ranked wins.

So the final would be:

Big 10 champ
FSU
Texas
Bama

Obviously if anyone else loses or whatever it becomes easier. Just my .10 cents.

You are suggesting when they played Bama they were excited and you got their best and now they are playing GA they won’t play their best

Meaning, if GA kills then today you get to say “they didn’t care to be there”

I think his point is, UT had everything in front of them when they played Bama. Now they have nothing. No east, nothing.

Knocking off the #1 team and undefeated for 3 years means they have nothing to play for?

OSU played ND at ND this year. They also play at Michigan, played Penn state and @wisky back to back weeks.

Michigan complain about their schedule but OSU has played a real schedule

Alabama won the SEC in 1999 with a loss at home to Louisiana Tech

I get that but it’s not for anything other than that. No title, no run, nothing like that. I’m just saying it’s not the same. I’m not saying the kids aren’t trying I’m sure they are.

It can EASILY happen now that Oregon is firmly planted ahead of Alabama for no fricking reason.

If Oregon was behind Texas and Alabama like they should be, this whole thing could play out naturally. The committee has totally fricked up being so bullish on Oregon.

They’ve created a situation where Alabama should probably be ranked ahead of Washington and Oregon if they all end up with 1 loss but it’s now impossible for Alabama to ever jump them.

This is very true, I know it rained Washington did not look like a top five team last night. The Beavers of OSU ran all over them.
