Usually I don't really give a shite about things like this... but..

To me it just sounds really ignorant when someone criticizes another person because they speak in a different accent/dialect/etc.. I had no trouble understanding what Jameis was saying (even though I talk differently from him), and I'd question your intelligence if you really couldn't understand him. AJ's Mom totally understood what he was saying, she was just being a bitch because she doesn't like the way he sounds.

He speaks differently from AJ's Mom because he grew up in a different culture with different people... people should stop acting like the way they talk is superior to the way others talk.

to be fair, I have yet to figure out what he said about going big at the end of his Heisman speech or when he repeated it last night.

I have no idea what he meant either. The dude talks too much, IMO. The whole birthday thing was weird, who cares that the kid turned 20 yrs old?

DIP folks will DIP.

Of course, DIP looks vastly different demographically than when AJ's Mom grew up out that way.

By different culture, you mean the same state?

Sure. The people who present papers at science conferences sometimes throw in a "Git er done" at the end of a really good point or when presenting a breakthrough discovery.

I'm glad you used less than 1% of the people on this planet as your example.

The dude's in college. If he weren't a football star he'd ben nearly impossible to hire with that "accent/dialect". I can't name one successful business person that sounds like that.

Maybe he's smart. If he was though, he'd work on sounding like it too.

1) How many 20 year olds are hireable?
2) Jay Z, Diddy, Kanye, etc.

eta: Tom Benson sounds like my drunk great-grandpa and he's a fricking billionaire.

I'll pass this along to him.

Did you just make up a word??

I was hirable. If it weren't for sports would you hire him to wait tables in a nice restaurant?

This isn't my opinion of whether he should be hired but when I was in college country boys of any color that couldn't speak English well didn't get the good jobs.

Crap, none of this matters. He'll be a millionaire soon enough (if not already at FSU) and he can buy a nice restaurant and start a new genre. Eat at Jameis' - you can't understand our waiters but the food is mighty tasty

Oh,Gumps.
Can you just take a day off ?
I mean, even Jerry Springer takes the weekend off.
Let a deserving kid have his moment in the sun....Hell no !
So jealous the cameras aren't on Torso Tattoo Junior.
So entitled.
So trailer park.
So wonderfully Gumpy.
If they didn't exist we'd have to make them up.

I didn't say I couldn't understand him last night.

ETA: Oh, you didn't like my hypothetical restaurant motto. I'll fix it for you so as not to bemuse.
