Who blows a 24-0 lead in the second quarter against Auburn? This happened in 2010, and was perhaps the darkest moment of the Saban era. Auburn, led by Cam Newton, famously took advantage of Alabama's lack of halftime adjustments and went on to win the national championship behind Gene Chizik

He was able to win a national championship at LSU. It'd be akin to Sumlin doing that at TAMU.

And now is forming a modern-day dynasty at Bama. I hate Satan, but he good.

So if you lose a game you're overrated?

UL-Monroe is probably his most inexcusable loss since he's been here. But that was his first season so he gets a pass - just like any head coach at a rebuilding program in their inaugural season would. His two losses in 2008 came to the national champion and an undefeated team that finished #2. His 3 losses in 2010 came to the national champion, a Top 10 LSU team, and the winner of the SEC East. In 2011, his lone loss came to the #1 team in the nation. In 2012, his lone loss (so far) came at the hands of a Texas A&M team that will more than likely finish in the Top 10.

Pretty good losses in my opinion. If he was losing consistently to unranked teams the AJC might have a point.

Considering this is all they have over a 12 year period I would put this in the "grasping at straws" category.
That's exactly where I put it.

This is a prime example of the long-standing AJC butthurt over Bama.....a long history of Bama bashing going back to the Bear Bryant/Bobby Dodd- Furman Bisher feud......AJC has been hatin' on Bama for the last 50 years....looking forward to it continuing after Saturday

I just think it's always pretty dumb to hold people to a standard that doesn't exist, or that exists based upon revisionist history. No one lives up to the image others project onto them.

Whether or not it's Saban or someone else, that person will lose games, and likely lose one or two they shouldn't. It's the nature of college sports, and of sports in general.

AJC just gave a graduate level course in trolling.

That was an easy 9/10.

I'm of the opinion that a good troll is also well thought out.

Well reason #5 should be rejected out of hand. NFL =/= CFB.

As for the rest of the article, all I can say is its easy to be overrated when you are rated as high as you can be.

That's an insult to Bleacher Report. B/R may utilize slideshows but they usually provide more substance than what I just read.

So being good at acting or singing or playing ball, or being an excellent coach, no matter how hard the person works to perfect his or her craft, is all overrated? Really?

yeah really.

these kinda folks don't really matter. How do they make the world better? cause they sing dance or coach well????

It's bout priorities for each of us. Me personally, I wish more attention was paid to people who helped others instead of helping themselves

I don't expect many if any to agree, that's the way I like it
