We will find out next week
No one will believe me because "sources" blah blah blah but I do know someone whose dad is in the athletic dept and said they've at least known about the possibility of this for a month. Might not have had the evidence til tomorrow but apparently there were worries when the stuff originally was posted on eBay

I wouldn't put too much stock in that as of yet. Think about how many sources and people close to the investigation were anonymously quoted during the Cam saga.
I remember Mark Wynne (an Auburn alum) running all over metro Atlanta reporting for WSB on various "sources" and people "close to the investigation" or people "close to the Newton family".
Right. And God knows that the AJC has jumped the gun before. See: Jewell, Richard

One tv talk show host said it's being reported that this started/happened last spring. For what that's worth, but if true, would this make him an ineligble player for the whole season so far, possibly resulting in UGA having to forfeit games in which he played & team won? How would that affect the SEC east?

Not much

At this point, don't really care if he is done for the year. uhhh, I do. He's our best player
I've seen some talking heads and UGA fans today saying the 'Dogs wouldn't miss a beat thanks to running back depth. Losing your best player, especially the best RB in the nation, can not be a positive for UGA.

I was never mad. Gurley did this to himself. He deserves whatever punishment is coming. Everyone is pointing the blame at the program but every athlete knows the consequences of taking cash. That being said, he was going to the NFL after this season so he really only hurt the program not himself.
Thank God there is someone out there like you. My office is filled with UGA fans who cant point the location of Athens on a map. I iterated that this morning & I would have been more successful at talking to the wall.

Has anybody put together a flow chart?
These things are easier to follow with charts.
This must not be a big deal or we would have blue tuna on the case.

What about the games that UGA has already played with Gurley on the roster? If the allegations are proven true, and they happened before the season, will UGA have to Vacate their wins?
Posted on 10/10/14 at 1:07 pm to Keltic Tiger

If the wins are vacated, all that happens in Georgia is out of the running for the east. Nothing else changes.
If they are true forfeits and the opposing teams get the win, I don't see it having an impact on the winner of the east (barring a couple of huge second half collapses or miracle resurgences). It could, however, impact bowl eligibility/placement, at least for Tennessee. An extra win could either get them to 6-6 or (more likely) push a 7-5 season to an 8-4 and possibly have them playing in Florida.

But if there is no evidence then the AD and the rest of those assholes are spineless pussies

I'm sure he would like to be playing, but I doubt he loses any sleep over it. He can workout and get ready for the draft without having to worry about getting injured.

If he had went to a better school he wouldn't have to sell his autograph for pennies to pay for a cheeseburger. Recruits pay attention to this stuff. Schools that don't provide for their athletes take a hit in recruiting.

He's telling the truth. What you don't understand is that Georgia fans are conditioned to give up mid-season. This is nothing new to them

I just heard on the radio that Johnny Football tweeted "Free Gurley"
