I shouldn't put this all at AJ's feet. So many people (not just athletes) put all the hard shite in their life (typically of their own making) on God. An unexpected death? A serious tragedy? Lost your house in a flood? If it helps you to rationalize the situation and comfort you through the grieving process, that's cool. I'm good with that.

But snubbed for a job? Failed a class? Failed a drug test? Got kicked out of school? No. That's not on God, that's on you. Take some responsibility, swallow the hard pill, and learn from the situation (preferably with your mouth shut).

I like the guy and hope he succeeds, but he seems to be doing everything he can to turn this into a train wreck. It started with his "I've been told I'm a first-rounder" nonsense.

In fairness, JFF made me cringe the two times he mentioned that Houston and later "teams" would regret passing him by.

At least some of this idiocy is because of social media, particularly Twitter. But still... shut the frick up!

So much fail, and a very racist/stereotypical comment.

If AJ couldn't put this on God then what good is that chest tattoo of his?

I forgot Jesus died for his first round draft grade. The NFL snubbed Jesus.

No one outside of Bama says this actually.

Really?

He's not even one of the greatest in the BCS era.

Manning, Vick, Leinart, Young, Griffin, Moore, Newton, Weinke, Tebow.

McCarron doesn't stack up to those guys as a QB.

Besides, he'll be right back at Bama by 2018 trying to impress coeds with stories of his glory days and his championship rings.

Like the ring he won by beating LSU 21-0 in the national championship game?

angry twitter messages aside, I think he'll outplay his draft rank and have a pretty good career

Maybe not Tom Brady-esque...but definitely better than a lot of people that have gone higher than him in other drafts and this one as well

AJ, like JFF, is doing this to himself by running him mouth. The word "winner" does apply, but so does "whiner". bama fans are jumping to his defense yet hated Tebow, who did nothing like this. Except win, too. The NFL is one place where you either produce or you go back home. AJ, Mett, Murray, JFF, will all get their chances.

AJ and Manziel will be forever remembered as the biggest douchebags in SEC history.

That saying a lot with Tebow setting the bar.
