if an Alabama quarterback is realistically in the running for the Heisman, something has gone seriously awry at the Capstone.

Why do you believe this?

This is like the "let's base everything one game" logic LSU fans use, except used the other way.

Les has one bad game, let's fire him. AJ has one good game, Heisman candidate.

Aj McCarron has about the same shot at winning a Heisman as Jake Holland. It won't happen.

crosses fingers that TT is right about QB's in the sense he is right about RB's at UA

Where is Maggie/Magilla/B-Mac when you need him?

You beat him to the punch.

Since 2000, the average Heisman winning QB has posted a stat line of:

247/380 (65%) 3,511 yards 33TD 9INT
114 rush 446 yards 9TD

Compare that to AJ's numbers:

219/328 (67%) 2,634 16TD 5INT
30 rush -22 yards 2TD

So AJ would need to up his passing nearly 900 yards and more than double his touchdown passes.

Looks like an ok preseason list.

He has UGA and Arkansas QBs with better odds to win it.

Odds can be given for any player to win the Heisman.

Of course, it would be a nightmare for the rest of the SEC if AJ were really in the running for it, because it would mean he's having a great year=/=Alabama undefeated.

Famed odds maker Danny Sheridan thinks Alabama QB AJ McCarron has a shot at the Heisman Trophy

Didn't this fuktard say he wasn't ready for prime time less than 2 months ago?

Danny Sheridan is worse than Tammy on Finebaum.
