quote:

McCarron said he spoke to Foster after the game, reiterating what he told other teammates about the hard-to-swallow defeat.

"I told him, 'Hold your head high,' " McCarron said. "It's one loss. We still have a chance to play for a BCS bowl game.

"Cade's a great kid. It wasn't all his fault. Other people struggled. I love him to death and I have all the confidence in him in the world that he could go out there right now and make the kicks. The one thing about him is he needs to keep his head high and be proud.

"Like I said, football is just a game. It's not life. Times like this people need to realize the sun's going to rise tomorrow."

My favorite Tide player of all time and it's not even close.

Mine is Rolando McClain. Any guy that threatens people with a gun in public is a go-getter in my book.

Seems to have his head on straight. Other than those terrible tattoos. Not sure what happened there.

I hope that Foster takes his words to heart. Cade is my favorite Tide player of all time and it's not even close.

Cade was a standout mike linebacker in HS. I'm sure he gets more to the game than just kicking.

Yep, it's a game
Not life or death

It's kinda messed up many in this Nation. Hold our favorite players & teams more accountable than we do our local/national leaders, teachers who teach our kids, and other important professions all across the USA. America's priorities are skewed in the worse way possible. I suppose it's this way many other places, but we'd just replace it with soccer. I love sports(Football & Hockey the most) but never forget it's just a game in the end.

I saw this quote on ESPN and immediately came to the rant, knowing some AJ dickriding blowhard would have posted it. This is exactly the reaction that any normal, level-headed person would have to the situation. I realize there aren't many of those in Alabama or Mississippi (yes, I live there so
I know)but it is hilarious that if AJ says it it becomes gospel and a sure sign of leadership and if anyone else would say it's seen as a merely a rational thought.

Yall are hilaious
