It's easy to win with the GOAT. Much harder to dominate OBC.

Aggie gonna be good this year, like the last 2. But all it takes is a decent secondary to shut that shite down. If Aggie can establish the run, they will be dangerous. I'll wait and see if this happens

You get that A&M had more rushing yards than LSU, right?

They beat Bama in 2012 also what's your point? My point was wait till you meet a secondary that cancover your receivers man to man. Then what? JFF can give you that answer

K Hill won't go HAM when nobody's open.

Let's see, Bama was #1 and defending champion, USCe was hoping to make noise in east and was #9.

Bama because that win validated us in the eyes of a lot of recruits you see on the field for us today.

You do realize Wisconsin has a better rushing defense than South Carolina, right?

Out of the following wins, the Aggies like C the best:

A, On the road in THEIR stadium in front of THEIR fans the 2012 Bama win.

B. On the road in THEIR stadium in front of THEIR fans the 2014 Gamecock win.

C. At home in front of 110,000 Aggies the 2014 lsu Thanksgiving day win.

In truth, we don't know yet. It's about what happens after the win that will determine how "great" it was.

After Bama in '12 A&M not only didn't lose but blew out their final 3 opponents in viscous fashion and JFF won the Heisman. You could make an argument that A&M was playing as well as anyone in the country at the end of that season. Immediately after the Bama game the recruiting landscape for A&M changed as well. 4 and 5 Star recruits were calling Sumlin to find out about us and he took that momentum and built the great recruiting that we now have with it. A&M publicity on a national level absolutely exploded, though much of it was Johnny specific the school greatly benefited as well.

If A&M goes on to an SEC Title or NC this year and USC ends up as a 9 or 10 win team then this game could be considered the lynchpin of the new era for A&M making the step up to elite status. Championships are always trump cards. However, if A&M drops a few games and ends up with 9 wins then the USC game will just go down as a really nice W but not a program changer like Bama was. Personally I think A&M still has too many question marks on D to run the table and the loss of Hilliard (who was having a great game at OLB where we were already paper thin) is going to be hard to overcome.

You do realize that A&M has 3 excellent RB's, 2 of which were 5 Stars, to go with a fantastic OLine don't you? When A&M needed to power for yards they had no problem doing so. When they needed to take the air out of the ball to end the game they went on a long, sustained drive primarily running the ball as well. The other thing you have to consider is that many "passes" in the Air Raid are basically runs. Swing passes and screens. Flipping the ball to the WR who is in motion. Those go down as passing yards but the ball is only traveling a few yards in the air.

The thing that makes A&M's offense so tough to stop though is they can do everything well and the OLine is so solid. No defense can scheme to stop 5 skill players on every play with the level of execution A&M was showing to go with the talent. The best you can hope for is to slow it and get a couple of turnovers.

Say the opposite happens. USC goes on to run the table and win the SEC, while aTm goes on to a solid 9/10-win season and a bid to the Cotton Bowl or something. Where would this win rank then? Would it be a program changer, or something along the lines of a bad matchup?

Note, I'm not saying USC will do this. Just a curious hypothetical.

With all the Hype about beating SC, what is the greater win? Bama went on to a National Title even after ya beat them. What makes a win over South Carolina so great?

Bama, because without it, manziel wouldn't have been in the national conversation for the heisman and we would not be on a recruiting roll and gotten players like hill, garrett, RSJ, noil, etc.
