Aggies: What matchups are you concerned with?

I'm worried about your receivers against Bama's DBs. I predict at least 4 PIs and probably 3 inexplicable big plays...because the DBs still can't/don't turn around and play the ball.
I'm also worried about QB scrambles after the pocket collapses.
How is your FG kicker?

I'm looking for the A&M OLine giving Knight a pocket against the 'Bama DLine. Can't scramble on every play, and Knight can throw a nice deep ball if given time.

The same matchup every team does vs. Bama. Their DL is about to go in.

I'm concerned with our OL blocking your pass rush and opening running lanes. They have played well this year, but they are relatively inexperienced and have not seen anything like Bama's DL.
I'm highly concerned about Knight throwing a few interceptions, honestly. He's extremely hot/cold.
Started the season great. Shaky lately. Missed a routine FG in the Tennessee game that could have won it in regulation. And by missed I mean he absolutely shanked it.

12-16 (75%)
20-29yds = 5 for 5
30-39yds = 4 for 7
40-49yds = 3 for 4

Then can we all just agree 'no field goals'?

But really our OL vs your front 7 - we will need some balance because Knight isn't Chad Kelly or Manziel throwing the ball. They need to be able to give us some running lanes as well buy time against the rush so Knight can deliver the ball down field. IF he has time to deliver it down field, I think our WRs will be able to make some plays on the ball vs your DBs
On the other side of the ball our LBs vs your OL in the read option/run game. They need to be able to contain this part of your offense and not get demolished at the second level. I have confidence in our DL

Obviously how our O line can contend with the Bama D.
Knight, surprisingly to me, has shown to be very adept at a pretty long ball and a very good back shoulder pass. He's FAR more accurate than most with those passes, but he fricks up the easy swing/slant. So if there will be interceptions, it will more than likely be on the shorter passes. Strangest thing I've seen, but he seems to be a good/great long ball guy.
For defense, A&M MUST find a way to bottle up your running attack and make you pass on long down and distances. Easier said than done, but it will play to our strengths in getting to Hurts

has bama had 4 pi's this year, or in the 4 games we've played? Doubtful it happens in this game.

Don't know why I typed that.

Our kicker is great. He has never missed 2 in a single game. He got double iced against Tennessee in front of the home crowd in one of the biggest home games this decade. Not an easy kick to make.

I'm most concerned about our D line. We can be a bit aggressive and lose outside containment if we rush up the field too far. Need Garrett and Hall to keep outside contain and our interior D to do their own jobs.
Ags probably going to play quite a bit of man to man and we will see if Hurts can throw accurately. Doesn't seem to be that great a passer. My personal preference is we stack the run and force Bama to throw more than they want.
Ags are going to score some points. If we score 15 to 25 we lose. IF we can push it up above into the 25 to 30 point range we make a game of it but it still favors Bama.
Ags score more 30-35+ points then I like our chances. That means 2 things. 1. Ags are moving the ball and the Bama D is on the field more. 2. Our D is getting some rest. We don't have the same depth of Bama so being on the field for 38+ minutes is a problem.

Our FG Kicker is Feast or famine. Honestly you nailed it. Our WR vs your DBs are the only advantage we have. Trevor Knight will have to be very precise passing, which he can do, but hasnt shown much this season. If we play mistake free football this will be a 4th quarter game. One tiny mistake and it will snowball to infinity and we will lose big.

Lol how is he famine? He has never missed 2 in a game.

I would look up our kicker's numbers, but I am in such a good mood.
