If Hill keeps it up, I definitely think we will see Allen play elsewhere

because kyler is probably going to redshirt. lets say Kenny hill is the truth and he leaves for the NFL after next year. then in kylers red shirted freshman year and kyles junior year the spot will be up for grabs. if kyler wins the job then yea kyle may look elsewhere but if kyle wins the job, he will have two more years of eligibility and then kyler will take over as a red shirted junior and he will have two years of eligibility to start. there is a very plausible scenario in which a&m can have a logjam but not have to deal with QBs leaving

all this is certainly an option, and could very well happen. But I could also see some team coming in and saying "hey, no QB battle over here. Come on over and you'll start day 1."

I think Sumlins system could entice Allen to stick around after this season. But I could see him transferring to someplace like ASU and killing it. I certainly hope he stays though

that is also a plausible scenario. if either does end up transferring out, it probably will be kyle. but there are too many variables right now in this situation to just assume its going to happen

The other variable is if it looks like Murray might sign in the draft. We would put the full court press on Allen to stay and he would probably be handed the starting job

In all seriousness, I don't expect to lose Allen or Murray. Here are my reasons why;

1) Murray committed knowing there would be a high rated returner and has even said he expects to compete but would like a year to get bigger/stronger and his father the great Kevin Murray has said he knows his son needs time to prepare for the college game. So no issue with a RS for young Kyler.

2) With amulets redshirt, that will place an extra year between he and Allen, giving Allen a solid year of starts/backup time if Hill stays a extra year past his (possible right now) NFL projections. (I say this because we see it more and more with young guys leaving early for the payday. Hill I believe will have a degree by the time he finishes his 2nd year as a starter for us so that should help him in his decision to go pro.)

3) Allen isn't a scrub, he can still take the job. This is one game, a game that we don't know the actual strength of the opponent, only a supposed strength of the team. Kenny looked great, much like I had anticipated, but again, that defense was very inexperienced going against the offensive weapons Aggies knew we had.

4) pray to the good lord, but there could always be an injury. We will see Kenny bail himself out with his legs as the season goes on. He is a pretty good runner, but I fully expect him to get flushed out of the pocket as the season goes on, and our protection won't always be this great on every play. There are some big boys in the SEC, so anything can happen.

5) Right now, I bet Kenny is being dreamt of by some NFL recruiters. He will have used three years of eligibility after the 2015 season. "Could" have high projections. Allen doesn't get it this year, burns one year of eligibility getting lots of snaps late in games. Comes back next year and plays even more minutes (Shaw --> Thompson type handoff) and comes back the 2016 season knowing he is the man with 2 years and then he's in the pros.

6) In comes Kyler Murray, he repeats Kyle Allen's path except he had his year as a redshirt.

And the pipeline continues from there.

Multiple first round OT's-QB's-WR's and I'm betting Myles Garrett gets us back to top defensive prospects being drafted from the Maroon & White. May even start with Obioha/Hall before Garrett.

There's gonna be a logjam for sure, I assume Allen would transfer before Murray with Murray's legacy connection to A&M.

Murray could actually be used as an athlete until QB job comes open. His size projects more as an athlete. Hill is already a soph, on his current pace he might be done after 15 season.

Allen barring injury could redshirt as well but will likely see time as the backup burning it.

If Allen gets out now he can play next year for Baylor without sitting out

He's going to graduate after one year of college? You're dumber than we thought.
