Haha sorry I'm making you guys miss your college days! Thanks everyone for the great answers. I'm sure they will come in handy. Sometime in the week after the game I'll post some pics of what I saw.

Lol, my college days have been going since Fall 98. I'm either going to be Dr. Sulla in the next 9 months or have wasted a helluvalot of time.

Seriously though, breakfast tacos - get one.

Fuego and Rusty Taco in CS have amazing breakfast tacos. This is where I'd suggest for those. Fuego is open 24 hrs as well, the nice cabs will take you through the drive thru if it isn't too long. Rusty Taco is on NG right by the bars.

I'm not sure, I went there in August and it was still open, I haven't been there when I've been up for any game weekends. It was usually pretty crowded when I went in

Rusty Taco closed. And Shipwreck has new owners; I think they may be from Lafayette. Their food is good now.

If I was an opposing fan I wouldn't go, but it's up to you. I'd rather spend it on bar time if you're only going to be there 2 nights and not coming back. It's basically a pep rally for A&M so I don't think it would be enjoyable for an Arkansas fan.

Just don't.

Having been myself, I would also not recommend going. It was cool to see so many people cheering in unison, but I was there as an A&M grad student with an interest in the school. If I am there as a Hog fan I wouldn't like it. It is hard not to get caught up in their swaying and hooplah. They will also talk some bad shite about the opposing team and it would probably not go over well with most of us, especially right now. If you want to go then maybe try for the top of the 3rd deck and don't get mixed in the crowd. You may also be able to get on the endzone bleachers. Is that possible Aggie fans?

Wait, when?

I would highly recommend Fuego for the breakfast Tacos. Also, as mentioned, DIxie Chicken/Chicken Oil/Koppe Bridge all gave excellent burgers. Grub does too, but it is not a place I would go on one visit because it feels more like Austin/Fayetteville than CS.

- If you are hanging around the campus before the game then you will want to see the Corp march-in for sure. The new student center, what Ags are calling the MSC, is nice and worth seeing. The Bush Library is also worth seeing if you are interested in history. There are busses that can get you around to these places.

- Northgate is fun with many nice bars. Downtown Bryan is ok too and a bit more mature if you ask me.

- The Republic, Veritas, and Christoper's World Grill as well as Madden's in Bryan all have excellent food if you are looking for a higher end meal one of the nights.

- Freebirds has excellent Burritos, but there are places like it everywhere now so it has lost some of its exotic appeal.

- As long as you are humble (it's hard I know) most Aggies will treat you very well. I like to rag on them, but they are mostly good folks.

- We can consider setting up an Sec Rant hangout if y'all want to. Or we could arrange for a place to meet and weep after the game.

The thing about Yell is it is Aggies in full out cult mode. It's one unique tradition after another from Yell Leaders to Yells to corny stories and beyond. Some people think it's cool and some people are scared to death/offended/or just thing Aggies are BSC. If you go, I would not go with the main crowd and move over to the Zone in the first deck. which you should be able to get to. You can watch more from afar and if it feels to weird or lame you can bail much more easily than being the one Arkie guy in a sea of drunk Aggies. Here is a video from the Unite show on ESPN that was at the UF game that can give you a good idea of what it is and you can judge for yourself if it is something you want to do.

If you want to crash our tailgate, you are welcome in Lot E 100g Reed Arena SE side.

We are a bunch of drunk assholes in our 20s and 30s. We like visiting fans to party with. Over 50 Florida fans took me up on the offer .

Favorite bars are cedar lane and obannons. Grab some shots at the tipsy turtle. Madhatters is pretty good as well.

Best pecan pie ive ever had is at church street on northgate.

Get some incredible tacos at Fuego. Open 24 hours so go hit it up after northgate. It's always packed after the bars close.

It's not Smitty's or City Market, but Rudy's is actually incredibly well done for a chain, and they are based out of Texas. Whole different animal than something like Sonny's or Smokey Bones. If one is convenient, you'd be nuts not to stop by for at least some spicy chop breakfast tacos.

Goddamn I miss spicy chop breakfast tacos - add eggs potato, some bbq, and salsa verde...

This thread just pissed me off and made me home sick. Thanks.

Rudys sucks. Smittys and Kreuzs arent even the best around anyways.

The Original Rudy's in Boerne isn't bad but all the other ones are pretty terrible.

I grew up going to Midnight Yells so I always thought that shite was "normal"

My advice to visitors if you go to Yell--don't take ANY of the shite talking about your school seriously. Most Aggies don't--it's just corny stuff like aggressor said that allows Aggies to go into cult mode, if you will

Fargo's is great BBQ.. C&J is better than chain, but nothing stand out.

Bush library is cool.. Lots of historical shite in there that is worth looking at if that is your thing.

IF you are in the area, you should do the trip to some of the famous BBQ joints. Many have been listed already.

Franklin's in Austin is the shite.

Tailgate and Northgate is how I would do it. Maybe walk the campus on Friday, but tailgate, game, northgate is how it should be done.

Best tailgate on west campus

Did you go to midnight yell? Was it that different from a pep rally at the Greek Theatre in Fayetteville? I didn't go, but it sounds a lot like what we have at AR. Loved it as a student at AR, would hate it as an opposing fan and maybe even as an alum. Same type of thing?
