This top 10 offense bottom 100 defense excuse it BS

LSU won a lot of games with a shite offense and a top 10 defense.

I think 20 wins in 2 seasons in the SEC west is a lot of wins (especially for a historically underachieving program coming off a 7 win season in a shite conference) so I dont understand your point.

The OP is saying that Sumlin is not a good coach because we had 3 players go in the first round and *only* won 9 games. Considering the 3 players drafted were offensive players, Sumlin did a great job utilizing that elite talent.

Yea he is doing wonders with Shermans players.

Sucks that he has never recruited a player of that caliber.

Texas A&M's SEC record in two years is 10-6.

Texas A&M's Big 12 record their last two years was 10-7.

The only difference is a Heisman trophy.

Ding ding ding. OP must be an LSU alter considering he's only concerned with the stars of the team and has no idea any other players step on the field.

And hundreds of millions of dollars in donations, more exposure than we ever had, and some incredible recruiting momentum.

imo, he hasn't realized how important defense is. or just isn't worth a shite putting one together. Sumlin INHERITED an excellent offense from Sherman and has lived off of that offense for two years. his defense has actually got worse since he took over. BUT, he has had 2 highly rated classes so he now makes 5 million a year. he's one lucky SOB so far. if he can keep producing good offenses and actually put together good defenses he might be a pretty good coach.

except when his first Aggie team had a defense that was top 25 in both efficiency and scoring. But whatever

Star players coming out of HS drafted in the 1st round. There are a ton more players below 5 & 4 star rated players signed each year to Colleges.

Five * 5
Four * 10
Three * 15
Two * 2
Not rated 0
Average 3.56
