You've got almost all the blue bloods of the last few years (minus Bama) retooling or fighting the injury bug and you've got a lot of teams playing with a lot of heart as they rebuild. The SEC was ripe for some cannibalization this year.

This year definitely has had that "weekly grind" feel to it that has been the SEC calling card even though it hasn't been the reality for about the last 5 years. It certainly makes for a more interesting season.

Possibly the most arse backwards weekends in SEC football in a very long time. Almost all the underdogs won
It takes a little sting out of the LSU game for me when it's put into full perspective
I agree. Me and a few good buddies pick who we think will win each SEC game. I got one right. I let you figure which one I got right.
The guy who did the best got 2 right.

Well we don't.

Pretty much what I expected. I thought 9-3 would be a good season for us. Losing to UGA and OM didn't really surprise me.
8-4 looks more likely at this point. Down from the previous three years, but acceptable considering the attrition we've gone through the last couple of years

Damn right. LSU fans are just a little upset that their weekend didn't go quite according to plan.

Status freaking quo
Errbody mad/sad/pissed after this weekend unless you're a Bama/Auburn fan, though

I feel like we have the same retard running the show we have had for the past 8 years

well, I feel we are an average defense away from being 7-0, 1st in the nation...
fify, y'all need to quit bitching about the refs. you gave up over 600 yards of offense. you didn't deserve to win, and certainly shouldn't be using one no call penalty as your reason for losing. you had plenty of chances to win that game but couldn't keep your opponent from scoring.

damn that's a bit harsh. that "retard" has got y'all to two NCs and won one of them, which is more than any coach in the SEC not named Saban or Spurrier can say.

i love the "fire les miles" sentiment that comes out in full force every time LSU loses a game, which happens less frequently than any team in the conference not named Bama. Seriously, if Saban had never coached at LSU and wasn't coaching at Bama now, people would be able to handle themselves with a little less ignorance than they do. I'm as frustrated as anyone by the loss last night, but the fanbase acting like the program is now doomed are just as pathetic.

Agreed.
Cliff jumpers always command the most attention, though.

Our O really fricking sucks (more specifically, our Offensive line).

Optimistic
Playing like we have nothing to lose, and extremely aggressive and physical. tButcher has a dangerous team right now for anyone outside of Bama left on our schedule.
