Yeah scrimmages don't mean shite except to see who's going to start

Everyone, including myself, was saying the same thing about last year's O-line at the beginning of the season.

They have the talent, they just need time to gel.

Yeah, remember that Western Kentucky game? Seemed like 7 sacks.

Also worth noting that Saban said this in his press conference.

"I'm not at all disappointed in where we are. We're just going to keep on keeping on."

He left the scrimmage with what trainers were treating like a concussion.

He's loopy.

Nah, the defense looked great. They'll be fine. My concern is that the defense looked SO great because of how bad the offensive line performed.

I have come to the conclusion that we will lose at least 2 games.

A ten win season is still impressive.

6, but yeah seven pretty much hits it. Though Smith had 12.5 on the year for them, but still that was a horrible performance by the OL.

We have potential for a 2009 type defense. I don't think they'll be 2011 level, but still very very good. They should be good enough to win 10 games, if the offense can just not lose them for us

How did Trey look specifically though? Stats have CJ getting four tackles, an INT, and PBU. If you even watched Trey, notice anything about him? Faster, better first step, etc?

It took long enough to get to the point that 10 wins "isn't enough"

I think Trey will be really good for us. I didn't notice anything specifically, but he was moving well... before he got concussed.

Bad offense? Great defense.

Not so fast...

Quanterus Smith was a stud for Western Kentucky. The Denver Broncos drafted him in the 5th round, but they were only able to grab him then because of an ACL tear towards the end of his senior season. He only played 10 games and finished with 12.5 sacks (as you mentioned) and 18.5 tackles for loss. Alabama didn't just have a bad day, they ran into a pretty damn good player.

Anyone who thinks this season is worthless without a NC, despite how many games we'll probably win, needs serious psychological help. Be proud of what we've accomplished. If we accomplish more, that's great. But it's not the fricking end of the world if we don't win the NC.

Logical fan. Honestly though, the chances of winning three in a row, with four of the last five, in our times is close to impossible.

I guess Bama has as good as chance as any to do that this year though.
