for what it's worth LSU is ranked #2 in the country. Says to me they must be favored to win the SEC.

Win 30-35 games and be a two seed in Tallahassee.

FSU isn't nearly as good as their ranking would indicate.

We eaaaaasily could/should have swept them this weekend, still took 2 of 3 though. Maybe we're just better than people think. Who knows.

You haven't even won a game at TD Ameritrade yet. Both Landmass schools have done that multiple times. I'd slow your roll if I were you.
yeah because lsu has a history of not making it to omaha and looks terrible this season too.

win a couple of football games and this is what happens.

I didn't necessarily mean playing in the FSU regional, though Alabama has been there three of the last four years. I'm just saying Alabama doesn't seem to be escaping the ceiling of traveling for a regional. The best season under Gaspard, a loss in the Super Regional at Clemson, still had Alabama having to win the Georgia Tech regional in Atlanta.

Hopefully though the newly renovated and expanded Sewell-Thomas will get to host a post-season when it re-opens next year.

I'll go ahead and stick my neck out. Offensively, State could have the best team I've been alive to see us field. And that is without our best player who is back in 2-3 weeks.

Cohen is going in dry.

Going to be a fun year, potentially a lot of strong teams around the league.

We lost a lot off last years CWS team, probably will end up being a 3 seed somewhere.

Top 5 this early in the season for a sport with 7,041 polls.

Truth is nobody knows. That said, There is really good pitching at three or four schools. We really won't know who the standouts are until league play starts. Though Carolina has to play the Taters three times before that.

Vandy, the defending NC, is loaded, having nearly their whole team back this yr. That's why they're # 1 in some polls. Good thing for LSU is that we don't play them or the gators this yr. or at least till the league tourney.

I think Vanderbilt is the favorite. I have seen lsu's games this season and something is missing.

No, we took 1 of 3. Technically, though, we're one of only two schools to register a win against a top 10 opponent (Florida has 2).

It's not that hard to diagnose. LSU has really young pitching and no clear cut ace. That will likely be their weak point.

Poche and Lange will both be aces brah. I assure you. Godfrey is also a future beast in the making.

LSU signed the #1 class in America last year. Deichmann and Latz aren't even healthy right now. In other words, the #2 team in America is going to get better. Both pitching and hitting.

If I were to guess who will make a Super Regional in a few months, I would take:

Vandy, Florida, South Carolina, and LSU

Several others should make a Regional and be in contention for a Super:
Miss. State, Alabama, Arky, Ole Miss and A&M.

Auburn, Georgia and Kentucky are darkhorses to make a Regional.

I think Poche is a career #2. Nothing wrong with that. I just dont think he has ace stuff.

Lange may one day develop into an ace but he's a true freshman and that's unlikely (though not impossible) to happen this year.

So, no titles since expansion...I'm going to go with the odds.

Yet we have been to 6 CWS in that time period, and won 4 SEC tournaments in that timespan.

They have played 7 games and have won all of them but one midweek game by an avg of 3-4 runs. I'm pretty sure they will get better. Once the freshman pitchers get settled in and we get Latz back which is the best freshman prospect of them all then I think we could win the SEC.

I'm not sure if I should even attempt a discussion with the guy using "soca" for South Carolina
