Advice on how to stay passionate about disdain for Bama?

It might just be the offseason, but with Saban leaving, their leadership struggles, Cam Newton lite at QB, and an inexperienced panic hire coach (Saban’s 3 options apparently said no thanks), will the Bama game be the same? Seeing Bama struggle and inevitably fall doesn’t feel as good as I thought it would. It’s a similar feeling to getting excited for Christmas after you found out Santa Claus didn’t exist.

Looking for advice from fellow SEC fans suffering from the same symptoms of Bama indifference.

The best way is to understand it’s a one way hatred. They don’t feel the same

Alabama went undefeated in Baton Rouge for a 30 year stretch before Saban.

We fricking own your arse.

That's isn't changing under Deboer or anyone else.

It should be easy for LSU fans to hold on to their hatred for Alabama football. Your assholes aren't healing anytime soon.

Yeah, I don’t see it. Florida used to own our asses. But now it feels like even when we’re beat, we find a way to win. Let’s hope it doesn’t happen with the Bama LSU matchups, because between NIL and the panic hire, it really doesn’t look super great for Bama at the moment.

BTW, you guys are so defensive when albeit for different reasons I am praying nightly for Bama’s success. It hurts me to see issues in Tuscaloosa just like 2018-2023 without a legit title hurt me. It hurt all of us.

I’m preparing to go all in on Georgia now that Alabama is dog shite. Preseason shite posting will begin around the NFL Draft iirc.

Gumps are just too pitiful these days

It's stupid to care this much about athletics.

Panic hire?

Our new coach literally made the national title game in his second season as a Power Five head coach.

You Goddamn idiot.

Alabama was 4-2 against LSU during those tumultuous years.

Y'all fricking suck.

The denial phase was beyond obvious, then they skipped anger for the bargaining phase (my favorite until they stopped), and now they reverted back to the denial phase. I guess we have to wait until they lose to Wisconsin to see the anger phase.

They keep bringing up the last 15 years and the Bear Bryant years. Like Billy Madison showing up to high school in a muscle car and leather jacket.

LSU has 27 wins in 88
games against Alabama.

Damn they have more than double the losses.

What a pathetic showing from an "all time great program". Has any other top program been dominated by another this severely.

I can't think of any.

always a strange situation for us Auburn fans..

on one hand you really, really, really don't like gumps - BUT they are sorta like those distant family members you can't stand to be around.. their presence makes you feel nauseated, but in the end - they are family.

in the other hand you have "jaw-ja"... and honestly who the hell doesn't despise georgia?.. it's a universal truth for everabody - we all abhor the puppy dawgs..

in essence, welcome to our hell, stuck right in the middle between say the Yankees & the Red Sox.

Since I knew what SEC football was, beginning in the early 1960s, I have always disliked alabama football the most of any SEC school. I will have no trouble keeping that dislike up no matter what their program does post-Saban as Nick Saban had zero to do with my dislike of alabama.

I have never seen a fan base become so ridiculously overconfident about a situation as LSU fans regarding Saban’s departure. It may (probably will) come back to bite them in the arse.

If Dennis Franchione can beat a Saban coached LSU team 31-0, imagine what a proven playoff coach with Alabama:s resources will do.
