seriously what the hell. It's like people read the first sentence and then chimed in with as many late october/november games they can think of. I'm surprised nobody's mentioned the sugar bowl yet.

Welcome aboard the Flagship Byron. We have a top recruit from the Netherlands committed to the Razorbacks. His brother will likely play for us too.

I guess that the SEC is now world-renown for its football.

Notre Dame plays at Clemson on Oct. 3, 2015. That might be in your driving range.

Wow I had no idea. That's a pretty cool matchup.

That one definitely has the unique factor going for it, but I think he'd be hard pressed to find a better trip that bama at georgia. Of course I'm biased, but it fits all his criteria.

If Bama plays at Georgia on that date, I agree. ND has only played Clemson twice, and not since the 1970s, and Clemson is a great place to watch a game (so I've heard). But Bama at UGA has the potential to be the best game in college football that year. ND at Clemson will be outstanding, but highly doubt it has that potential. I think Byron would enjoy seeing ND in person, based on his OP, but it's also different watching the Irish on the road than in South Bend (although, like I said, Clemson should be a lot of fun).

I would wait it out until the SEC schedules come out, but if you're dying to get something set right now for money and/or peace of mind, at least know you've got a pretty good option in ND at Clemson. But the other advantage to waiting it out: I just Google Map'd it and Clemson is an 8 hour, 1 minute drive from Orlando, so basically right on that 8-hour drive borderline. It's a pretty big haul, and would basically take up your entire day Friday to get up there and almost all of Sunday to get back, as well. You might want to see who plays at Florida, Florida State or Miami on those dates. You could probably make it to those three locations and back to Orlando all on Saturday. I will add that Miami, despite being a great program historically, is not a great atmosphere for college football. But you can also make a weekend out of it with your wife, unlike basically any of these other destinations that are mostly college towns, so it has that going for it.

Actually, his fluency in English is proof enough that 'he ain't from around here.'

Isn't 2015 the Battle at Bristol? That one's going to be a spectacle more than a game (still will be the largest crowd for a football game ever). Scratch that. Just looked it up and that one's 2016.

As the schedules get closer to the time of his trip it will be easier to give an idea of some of the better games. I don't expect Tennessee will be back this year but I do expect by 2015 will finally start playing like our old selves.

Notre Dame at Clemson unless Alabama is playing at Georgia that same day

ND @ Clemson should be a really good game, and Death Valley is awesome. Both ND and Clemson should be in the top twenty.

If you go to the Clemson game, you could fly out of Atlanta (about 2 1/2 hours away) when the weekend is over.

who cares if it's the same day? He's got about a 4 week time window to choose from, and the georgia game won't be any later than the 1st or 2nd week in october.

So I re-read the OP after skimming it the first time. I would definitely recommend going to that Nebraska at Miami game on the 19th. I said Miami isn't a great atmosphere, which is true, but Nebraska fans travel really well, and they'll make it a much better atmosphere than it would be otherwise. Miami-Nebraska 1984 Orange Bowl is one of the best games ever and one you should add to your DVD collection if you don't have it. I went to SunLife Stadium for the Bama-ND NCG a few seasons ago. The tailgating is definitely not what it's like on most college campuses, because it's basically a giant parking lot that surrounds the stadium, but that just makes it different, not necessarily worse. There were a lot of options. It's an NFL stadium, too, so it's more of an NFL tailgating atmosphere, but it will still be enjoyable. And it would definitely be a fun trip overall. You and your wife could do South Beach on Friday and go to the game on Saturday or something like that.

You said you already went to an FSU at Florida game. You're probably not going to get a much better matchup than that in Gainesville, plus you already had that stadium experience, so I don't think you need to hit up UF (or FSU) again. Clemson's not SEC, but I'd imagine it's about as close to an SEC gameday atmosphere as you will find outside of the conference. I've never been to either Clemson nor an SEC stadium for a road game, but that's just kind of the vibe I get.

So my final verdict (much like Abu and WG said) is there's only one game you need to look out for: Bama at UGA. It should take first precedence over both ND-Clemson and Nebraska-Miami. If it ends up being that all three are on back-to-back-to-back weekends, definitely do Bama-UGA on the 26th. And as much, as I'd hate to admit it, I would skip the ND-Clemson game and go with Nebraska-Miami. You don't need to do three games, two will do fine. And the trek up to Clemson (a week after the not-easy trip to Athens) would be exhausting. Plus, Clemson is pretty similar to Athens, while Miami would be a completely different experience (plus it has more to do for Honeymoon-like activities). So I would recommend, doing two of these three, in order: 1. UGA-Bama 2. Nebraska-Miami 3. ND-Clemson.

And sorry for the long post, haha.

What he was saying was, since Byron is going to two games, ND-Clemson should be one of them, unless UGA-Bama is the same day, then he should skip it and go to Athens. I for the most part agree, unless, like I said above, UGA and Bama play on Sept. 26.

Can't help with your trip, but if you're looking for more game footage checkout The Classic Vol Video channel on You Tube. It has memorable Tennessee games going back to the 1950s. Some of these aren't only great UT games, but also some of the greatest in SEC history. There are also great games against Notre Dame, Miami, Texas, Oklahoma, ect.....

1a) The World's Largest Cocktail Party (UF-UGA in Jacksonville, FL)

1b) The Oldest Rivalry in the South (AU-UGA, not sure where it will be in 2015)

1c) Saban Bowl X (LSU-UA should be in Tuscaloosa, AL in 2015, but might be too late in the year)
