Good luck to the SEC teams. Would love to see them advance.

it's pathetic how the rest of the country, including the committee, looks at us as only a football conference. shite......after this year......we will have 4 baskeball n.c.'s out of 9. that's not too bad right there. but, you can forget about receiving recognition from dickie v and his cronies.

So you are predicting a NC for the SEC after the first weekend. OK...

Fans from other conferences that bash SEC basketball are just as stupid as SEC fans that bash other conferenes in football. It is pretty funny to see how the world functions...

The NCAA tourney is about matchups and who's hot...with some luck sprinkled in.

The B1G is 6-3 so far with 3 teams in the sweet 16. Not sure how that can be considered overrated.

No sane tOSU fan thought they had a chance to go far this year. I had them losing to Dayton. They were abysmal offensively and had no inside game. But I think their seeding was right given their resume, RPI and SOS. In 26 tournament appearances they have only lost in the first round 3 times. Plus 3 straight sweet 16s with a FF and elite 8. I'm not complaining. You can't have it all.

Iowa was in a tailspin at the end of the year, lost 7 of their last 9 I think, including to NW in the B1G tourney. This is the only B1G team that probably didn't deserve a bid based on their shitty finish to the season.

Nebraska can either play with anyone or lose to anyone. Lack of tourney experience and the spotlight got to them I think.

Yeah it's not like Dayton steamrolled the buckeyes. A 1 pt loss to an in-state team on a roll and all of a sudden they are overrated. Florida struggled to the very end vs a 16 seed and they are properly rated as the overall 1??

Not to mention UD winning their second game as well(against an even higher seed than us).

SEC homers gon SEC.

Only getting three teams in is a joke. Much better league than people realize.

I am sorry, but I am going to have to go with the non-SEC in this. The three teams that had the talent to do anything in the tournament are in. The drop off after that in the SEC is brutal. Maybe I am just coming from a UGA fan perspective but UGA finished tied for second in SEC play and couldn't get close enough to UF, UK, or UT to sniff their body odor in any of the games they played.

Who cares? The fourth SEC wouldn't make it far.

What 4th team deserved to get in? Mizzou? Ark? They both had terrible losses. Arkansas sucks when they aren't at home.

Agreed.

The B1G didn't turn out to be anything near the "super conference" some people were making it out to be early on. However, it was still pretty good and the 6 bids were fair and those teams are doing about as expected.

The middle of the pack SEC wasn't nearly as bad as many make out and all the NIT teams (as well as a couple of others) were more than capable of winning games in the NCAA tourney but none were consistent over the course of the season.

The SEC should have got 5 teams in. I've been watching some really bad teams that should not have darkened the door! The Big1 has 3 teams in but, I have to ask myself, would Wisconsin won that game, if they had been playing anywhere but Milwaukee. I don't think so. There were 5 or 6 calls in that ballgame that were influenced by the crowd.

The committee that chose these teams really dropped the ball!
