The Mario Fannin "non-fumble" TD in the 2010 Auburn-Arkansas game.

I was flabbergasted (but grateful) that call survived replay.

Thanks

I'm sure LSU fans will say the PP7 INT that was/wasn't. However, even had LSU gotten the call, they were still down by 6 and would have to have gone 60 yards for a TD. Not a guarantee at that point in the game.

I'd honestly be interested in a list of terrible calls people feel have benefited Bama to see how many Tide fans would agree with.

Mizzou lost but went up in the ratings while the Nubs went down in the ratings.

It didn't go Missouri's way, but the Flea Kicker, as it would come to be known, was one of the legitimately great games in the history of college football.

No. 1 Nebraska 45, Missouri 38 -- Columbia MO -- November 8. 1997

Nebraska faced third down at the 12 with seven seconds left and no timeouts. Frost threw a dart to the end zone intended for Shevin Wiggins. The ball was volleyed around before Wiggins kicked it up in the air and teammate Matt Davidson flew in to catch it before it hit the ground. Touchdown. Tie game.

After the game, Wiggins would claim he kicked the ball intentionally, which is illegal, but in real time it was called a legal touchdown and there was no way to change it afterwards (or, realistically, to determine if Wiggins actually did it on purpose).

Frost would score on an option run in overtime and Nebraska sacked QB Jones on fourth down. The Huskers escaped 45-38.

Nebraska would drop to No. 3 in the rankings, but would go on to win the national title, its third in four years. Missouri actually entered the Top-25 the week after taking the Huskers to the brink and would make its first bowl game since 1983 that season. Mizzou would finish No. 23 in the nation.

Same damn north end zone as the 5th down game and the missed FG against USCe.

All true. Also true, Iowa has been closer to the CFP than Florida has.

I'm still waiting for a call to go Bama's way. We get zero calls that benefit us.

The ENTIRE game of MSU and BYU in 2001. There was no way the MWC officials were going to let MSU break BYU'a unbeaten streak that year.

My favorite example was one of our receivers made the first down signal after catching a pass and was awarded an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

I have seen some bad calls but never again seen such one-sided officiating in my life.

bullshite in 2001

I've got one for state. How about the game vs lsu in Starkville when your runningback was stopped ob 4th down before crossing the goaline and the refs gave yall a td to win the only game yall won vs lsu over like a 20 year span until a couple years ago? That was bullshite, and if they had replay back then lsu would have won that game. Just throwin that out there for you state fans. Lol.

Regarding the Mathieu play the ref was already signaling TD (prematurely obviously) and I think Tyrann was just tossing him the ball.

The two that come to mind:
1) Bama '04 Corey Webster should have been called for PI in the end zone but intercepts instead.
2) Arky '09 - Ridley was trying to get OOB to stop the clock on a last minute drive for a game tying FG attempt. Apparently he didn't but was ruled that he did.

I honestly can't think of anything from football. In basketball I remember mizzou getting screwed on an inbounds pass at the end of the game where we started the clock before anyone had touched the ball.

That game was also going to be ball game if the correct call is made

I agree, it was a horrible call.

It would have been impossible to have gaged the Tiger melt that would have ensued if the correct call had be made and LSU had subsequently lost. That would have been two consecutive Saturday night losses due to BAD CLOCK MANAGEMENT and may have resulted in Miles' dismissal 7 years before the fact.

I remember a bunch of us making it very clear after the game that we weren't robbed a win, but robbed of a chance to win. I don't consider that a play that cost us a game, cause like you pointed out, we were losing.

Auburn vs Vandy 2001

I have no idea how this call was missed. In typical Vandy fashion, we still blew the game.

The Earl Bennett excessive celebration penalty against Florida is really my first vivid memory of college football. Good intro to Vandy football.

Surprised no LSU people have posted this one:
