I clicked thinking this would be the one-word response I'd have used:

Huntsville

But maybe that's just me. Alleva probably should talk to his PR people about how to best lure visitors to the game. I'm pretty sure this isn't it: "You won't be able to see the game! It will be great!"

LSU was already doing this. This won't change anything except move some fans from the side upper decks to the endzone upper deck.

It's not that many seats. LSU, by far, had been the most generous school in the fricking SEC when it comes to lower bowl away fan tickets. Y'all used to get almost that entire lower corner of the SEZ. Now, if you bring your full band of 300+ there will only be a few hundred of you down there.

When I went in 2008, it looked like about 2000 seats which is what is required.

The lower level seating is not changing, they are just moving the upper deck tickets from the sidelines to the endzone...
WRONG. It has been stated in numerous newspaper articles and confirmed by my TAF rep that LSU will be moving approximately 1000 visitor seats from the lower south endzone to the new endzone upper deck.

"Alleva also said about 1,000 seats of the visiting team seating allotment in the South end zone will be made available to those wishing to buy LSU season tickets and the visitor seats moved to the new South upper deck." LINK

1000 isn't that much. It's less than 1% of the stadium.

but it was 1,000 more seats on the lower level than we get for road trips. It was retarded for us to have more than needed in the lower levels.

Which was pretty much that lower corner. Eff that. Every other school only puts a few hundred in the lower bowl. More if the band doesn't go.

Yet it's 50% of the required lower bowl seating for visitors. Apparently LSU was giving visitors 3000 seats in the lower bowl. Not anymore.

This. Fix the schedule and you can have your seats.

Nope. The reason Alleva specifically mentioned Alabama was in regard to how visiting fans are seated at BDS. Alabama seats the absolute minimum of visiting fans together then scatters the rest to the winds. Most schools in the SEC don't go to that extreme.

That's the context for that statement. It's no longer the case at LSU of "Do as you would be done to." but rather "Be done to as you did."

So enjoy those upper deck seats visitors. At least LSU made them close to restrooms/concessions.

You could profit off of those 25 cent telescope machines.

It's pretty standard procedure. UGA gives awful seats to visitors. Tennessee's and South Carolinas visitor tickets are awful from experience. I couldn't even see the back half of the endzone from where I was sitting.

Auburn's were bad but we got to upgrade to like 50 yard line 8th row seats after the 1st quarter when they left.

No they weren't LSU had far more than the 1,000 minimum in the lower bowl.
