Aaron Murray told this story on SEC Radio today I guess. A classic AU/GA game...

Said in the game where Fairley basically late hit him over and over again with the refs never calling it, Ben Jones (Georgia center and longtime NFL center) ripped out one of the Auburn LBers dreads and tried to give them to Murray as a token of revenge for what Fairley did to him. Murray told him that was gross, so Jones used them as the pull chains on his ceiling fan.

One of the best Dawgs ever.

Funnier story: Aaron Murray used to sleep with a stuffed penguin throughout college.

Don't know if you've seen the movie, but you remind me of the guy in the backseat.

The two guys in front are copies of the original guy.

The one in the back is a copy of a copy.

In all honesty, that was the dirtiest game I ever saw at any level. I think I remember a coupe brawls broke out in the 4th qtr.

That game forever changed the rivalry, I remember never having any hate towards Auburn until that game.

Auburn has gone 2-10 against Georgia since that day.
Guess who's laughing now?

Fact: 100% of Fairley's play that day was sportsmanlike and and in good faith

Murray has told this story many times since. At one point I think there was pictorial evidence. Ben Jones was/is a legit crazy person and I’m glad he was on our team

I mean it legit was one late hate by Fairly that got called. The rest was just Fairley destroying everyone in front of him like he did all season. People seem to forget but Fairly was the second best player in the country that year. Yes he played dirty sometimes but the lore of that game gets overblown.
