Hope you generate 5 turnovers. That's how LSU lucked into their win at Kyle.

Dude y'all are such fricking bad posters. Y'all are like the new Arkansas: All shitty save for 1 or 2 posters. frick y'all. Bama will skullfrick you.

Generating turnovers isn't "lucking" into a win. That is skill.

Holy frick. This thread has some really stupid posts

1. We lost to LSU. We had a chance to win but we didn't. We coulda/shoulda won, on the flip side they coulda/shoulda beaten us by a lot more. Goes both ways but a 5 point win is hardly domination

2. I don't expect us to beat bama but I also think we stay within 14. We're not the #1 team but I don't see any reason based on past games that we get "skullfricked" besides posters hating on the new kids cuz we are winning and it's rubbing them the wrong way (ex. Predicting we lose every game, and undermining every win)

3. New coach and freshmen qb shouldn't be excises. It's not like sumlins been a social worker his whole life until a year ago. And don't start a fish qb if you are gonna use that as an excuse. However, it does mean there should be plenty of room for improvement.

4. People who think bama 1, lsu 2, and everyone else is how it's gonna be for ever is really new to cfb. Now too long ago tamu was in the national championship hunt consistently and beating LSU. While in the early 2000s bama was winning less than 7 games some seasons

I don't think TAMU gets the credit they deserve on this board.

I'm not going to be able to find it without looking harder than I'm willing to look, but there was a football outsiders article a few years back that pretty conclusively established that annihilating marginal teams was a better predictor of future success than performance in close games.

TAMU beat Arky 58-10
TAMU beat Auburn 63-21
TAMU beat MSU 38-13

And this team is resilient. They didn't curl up in the fetal position after the LSU loss. Rather, they went on the road and beat the funk out of Auburn and MSU.

Moreover, Johnny Manziel is really good at football. Really really good at football.

I don't think TAMU will beat Bama, but there is nothing to suggest that they're gonna get destroyed.

Holy fricking shite. A reasonable poster. It took 8 pages to find a reasonable poster.

I think the game may be close with Bama because they tend to struggle the week after playing LSU...such an emotional win, very physical, etc. I think Bama will win but it may give the Aggies another moral victory that seems so important to them...why doesn't such "classy" posters give LSU credit?

LSU fans get tired of hearing the teams they beat characterize there wins as lucky...we hear it all the time because we play a grind it out style and don't blow a lot of teams out...
The bottom line is domination happens at the line of scrimmage...and that is why we don't consider that game close...A&M had us on our heels for the first 1.5 quarters and then we made some adjustments and the game was essentially over from that point on.
And to the poster talking about how your team now doesn't abandon the run anymore, you had to against LSU because you couldn't run...it wasn't a choice it was a necessity...
If you can't run against teams with good Defenses, you can't win...

We'll get to learn a lot about both Bama and A&M this weekend and I'm really looking forward to an awesome game. Trust me when I say this, most a&m fans are not like the posters on here and don't believe we're better than LSU and Florida. We're definitely blessed to be sitting at 7-2 right now and to be proving the majority of our opponents wrong, except about the Jizz jars (can't go anywhere without mine).

We do feel slightly disrespected though, which of course comes with being the new guys in the Best Conference, which is making some a&m fans are going beserk on this board. We've been told our offense couldn't compete against SEC defenses (jury still out), our defense can't stop anybody (jury still out), and more importantly that we would not be able to compete and would just be a team for Ole Miss to beat up on. When we win, its because we're not playing SEC defenses and it's proving how weak the SEC is compared to the Big 12, whereas when we lose, it's because we weren't SEC ready and that we can't compete against real SEC defenses (jury is still out). At some point, something's gotta give, and either we're going to be accepted as a legitimate SEC team or permanently accepted as a Big 12 team in wolf's skin and simply a yearly pretender.

All in all though, I know the majority of our fan base feels truly blessed to be in the SEC right now and it really is just icing on the cake to be able to compete right away. We do recognize the SEC hierarchy and that although a lot of us want to be inside of it, we've still got a long ways to go. This is the most exciting season I can remember for A&M, and although some of our fans on here are getting WAY too ahead of ourselves in terms of cockiness and delusion, but there are some of us out here who are just enjoying the ride and some great football games as well.
