the tackling on special teams is even worse. Arkansas is 116th in kick return defense, 113th in punt return D.

You're forgetting how much better TCU is than A&M. So its kind of like comparing apples to oranges.

You are talking about the same TCU team that almost lost to SDSU.

Our LBrs are dogshit. I'm on record saying this game depends on how they play. Our DL will abuse the Aggie OL, if our DB's cover like they did against TCU we'll be in great shape.

Emasculating Brooks Ellis has been the key to Aggie victory the past 3 years. If he's the Brooks he's always been we're in trouble. If he's the Brooks of the past 3 games, Aggies are in trouble.

If we try this complicated NFL zone protection stuff that Anderson has brought in then Austin will have a long night of running for his life. If we do more of a simplified bully blocking scheme we have an advantage and will push the DE's off the play with ease and will get easy North/South yardage when we want.

agree with everything you said and I will add our defensive ends coach is an idiot for teaching them to crash down with a running qb

its fundamental, two sides steps down and then rush straight up field if no one blocks you.

A&M better hope there running game is good against Arkansas because you are going to need it only converting 20% of your 3rd downs against non-SWAC schools and a QB completing roughly half of his passes. I think that A&M is as overrated now as LSU was at the beginning of the season and probably still today.

There's a reason you guys are favored to win.

We will give up some points, no doubt about it. But I thought we would get blown out by TCU, yet we dominated the game for 3.5 quarters. That shows me we can play with teams who have a mobile QB, explosive playmakers, and a hurry up offense....all of which are A&M's bread and butter.

Knight has not proven to me that he wont make mistakes or more importantly that he WILL make plays when the pressure is on. If he doesnt make mistakes and can step up when the team needs him, you will likely win. If he makes a couple of bone-headed plays, I think we will win.

I thought Arky would best TCU. At least I knew they had a solid chance.

TCU lost several key players the past Two years...

Well very few did pick us to win except for the informed follower of each team...quite honestly, we did our best to get in our own way...again.

What hurt us against TCU is that we went conservative with our secondary...where we played a lot of Man in the first half, we played zone the majority of the time. As good as the WR's are, I think we are better off manning a guy up. TK has proven his running skills, but he throws a lot of bad balls.

aTm will make some plays and I'm sure TK will set a new rushing record, but I'm confident that we will definitely hold aTm under their average

Arkansas is something like 2nd in the nation for holding opponents under their averages. Good luck Ags

You should watch the end of the UCLA game then. Knight executed a perfect read option and scored the winning touchdown on 4th and Goal in OT in his first game every as an Aggie. That's a reasonably pressure filled situation.

Personally I like A&M's chances for 3 reasons. Talent for talent I think we are the better team, we just have more horses. Also, Arkie has lacked explosive plays this year on offense and relies on driving the field to scroe. That plays to our strength of aggressive D that may give up a play here and there but will put you in 3rd and Long often and you have to execute while Garrett and Hall are coming after your QB. Finally I think Arkie's run D is suspect and if A&M starts chewing up yards on the ground then I don't think Arkie can correct. Leaving our WR's in man coverage is a recipe for long TD's so if Arkie has to stack the box they are in trouble.

If we don't execute or if we turn the ball over though Arkie can definitely win. Mistakes can easily turn the tide as Arkansas is a very well coached team, even though I hate Bert. Still, it just seems like A&M should score 30 or more and Arkie will have trouble scoring much more than 20 barring some crazy bounces of the ball.

The TCU game was a incredible defensive display by Arkansas. Managed to keep them just under 600 yards of total offense.... nice.
