Auburn has recruited lights out the past few years too

Recruiting isn't everything. You still have to develop players

Sure I can. A&M outrecruited Texas at will from the mid-80s to late-90s, no reason it wont happen again.

GTFO, you butthurt Bevo 10 fan. You're spouting off what you NEED to happen, not what will happen.

Nice conference, losers.

I can see SEC defenses watching alot of tape this off season and JFF's numbers going down next year. Most have done better after a half in a game, imagine what it will be next year.

The frick?

Is what I said not true? I think Sumlin will do well, but just recruiting well won't help if you don't develop. Look at Auburn

And I'm actually an Arkansas fan a-hole

Exactly who is dismissing the impact of Manziel? Seems like people get tired of Aggies giving the credit to Johnny and now you are saying we don't give enough credit. Which is it?

Personally, I think he is the difference along with some other solid freshmen like Evans and Trey Williams and with experienced tackles and special defenders Porter and Moore. But he is definitely THE difference maker. He may scramble around enough to allow our recruiting to catch up.

Jake Matthews
Luke Joekel
Mike Matthews
Ricky seals Jones
Thomas Johnson
Germaine Ifedi
Kohl Stewart
Trey Williams
Brandon Williams

and many others say Hi

A&M cleaned the Longhorns clocks on the recruiting trail for the better part of two decades when we were beating them on the field. Recruiting has never been the problem there.

If Sumlin had gone 5-19 at Houston then I would agree with you. But IMHO TAM recruits well and Sumlin is not a sunday school teacher so I expect TAM to do well and build yet another SEC power.
Of course as you saw tonight with Bama being a SEC power still puts you in a knife fight in an phone booth so it is never easy.

The myth that Tx has and forever will get their choice of recruits is such a joke. When we were up, we got our pick. We then got behind in the facilities race and they got a few guys that were difference makers and helped them take that position in the state. Even now we get guys over them, but honestly we go up against OU more than Tx.

Well JFF has to stick around at least another year. You are right that JFF is ATM, but you act like their arent other teams that aren't built ariund their QB.

One player has made that team.

Well.............

I guess their All-SEC offensive line has nothing to do with that.

A&M has done way better than any of us anticipated, why is that so hard to accept? Will they have trouble at QB when JFF leaves? I'd say that depends upon their recruiting.

If JFF's numbers go down next year, it will be due more to his offensive line being new than his performance.

I support the Aggies. They are a quality addition to this conference, and they have made their presence known. I tip my hat.

And what have you seen from Sumlin to believe he can't develop players?

Was it his work with Jason White?

Did you not like how he coached Adrian Peterson?

His handling of Keenum sub par?

And of course, JFF could be much better.

Please. Folks, what you're seeing is the result of Texas A&M football with a good head coach. This isn't a fluke. We've had the infrastructure for the last ~30 years. Don't be so obtuse. Fran and Sherman aren't here anymore.
