A&M has a road win over a ranked team that will finish the year ranked higher than you. Most of our players played in bigger stadiums than Davis Wade in high school.

I don't see the road atmosphere being a huge factor. It will be a factor but more for how much it pumps up State than it intimidates A&M. A big part of that is the style of offense A&M plays. It's simple and the pace is very fast. It's tough for noise to factor as much when the offense is in hurry up the whole time as it screws with the crowd's rhythm. So much is happening on the field so quickly fans don't have a chance to get as fired up. Same thing happened to A&M at Kyle last year when we played hurry up offenses, it takes a lot of the crowd factor out of the game.

I think that State has the DB's to limit A&M's passing game but they will struggle with the run with A&M"s big OL and the 3 different styles of RB's plus Manziel. It is a very difficult offense to prepare for if you don't have a ton of speed in your Front 7.

I do think that State has an offense to give A&M's D problems. Your passing game may light up our secondary and you can run the ball. I like the matchup of our Front 7 against you OL though and think we will get good pressure on your QB.

This game will come down to penalties and turnovers. If A&M plays a clean game they win. If State turns the ball over A&M wins. If State can cause mistakes by A&M and play a clean game they win.

Its what Coonass does best, well and predicts losses on the spread.

FWIW A&M is one of the best teams at turning the ball over one the road.

You can turn the ball over and barely beat Ole Miss and La. Tech, but we don't turn the ball over often.

We've played 4 road games and only once did we have a serious issue with turning the ball over.

I honestly think this game will go into overtime. TAMU and State are even as a team right now. I have a feeling the football gods are lining TAMU up for a win because of the Snow Bowl in 2000. That being said, a lot of TAMU fans are talking down State's atmosphere. I firmly believe that DWS is one of the more electric stadiums in the SEC. Keep in mind I said electric and not loudest. Most non-homer TAMU fans that have been in the past year or two will tell you this. I would even go out to say that we are the most committed fan base in the SEC.

LSU, Bama, Florida, TAMU, USCe, Georgia, Auburn, Tennessee, Arkansas...

not even top half of the conference?

I respect your opinion, but have you been to all those stadiums cause otherwise your opinion is skewed?

ETA: or State's for that matter

A&M, LSU, Arky live in stadium. I was admittedly very young for the Arky and LSU games.

Saw your fans up close for the Snow Bowl. I admit its probably not fair to judge a fanbase off a game in a freak snow storm. I'd say y'all reminded me of Texas Tech fans minus the douchbaggery in terms of rowdy fans. (this isn't a slam BTW)

Just from watching on TV State doesn't seem to get as crazy as the others. Perhaps that is due to the size of the stadium. Hell, I could have just happened to watch games where the TV people lowered the noise levels too much.

I just don't see it being much of an issue for A&M. Its not like most of the players have never been in rowdy opposing stadiums before. Some of the Aggie SEC cock gobblers in here like to do nothing but run down the Big 12 now that we left but there were some tough environments there. Especially when Colorado and Nebraska were still part of the conference.

Well if they are even and you are predicting overtime, you consider your tiny stadium a neutral site. Which might be appropriate.

I haven't had an opportunity to read this entire thread but lemme guess:

Aggie: We gon beat that arse.

Grinder: Billshit, fagboy

Aggie: Johnny Jizz Jar

Grinder: Starkville....Defense....

Aggie: bullshite. 5 turnovers. Stupid kicker. Wind. Stars not aligned.

Grinder: Alabama. Defense.

Aggie: 8 points. top 10.

Grinder: frick you.

Aggie: frick you.

Did I get it right?

You serious, Clark? I'm saying even as a team, but that doesn't change the fact that I think a unexpected turnover will happen against y'all. You're just trying to put an awful spin on what I said.

You're going to enjoy DWS, that is if you are going. If you are one the east side, your ears will ring for the rest of the day. The West side is full of "old money"

Lost in all this is the fact that the A&M defense is overdue a turnover. They've played well the past couple weeks, but to a man they've all said forcing turnovers is a priority.

Will it happen? Who the frick knows
