Poor swamp kitty's just pissed the NCAA doesn't allow them to ride their cousins in the Western Division. Took away that advantage!

Equestrian isn't an NCAA sport either.

They won't have one for football anytime soon

What I'm getting from this is that schools don't shell out nearly as much for bling for equestrianism as they do for football. It must be that the 17 people in the stands just don't want to pay as much money to watch an event.

Equestrian is no different from the ultimate frisbee and quidditch "sports" that various schools compete in.

Difference is Equestrian counts toward title IX and its actually supported by the schools that participate, but you knew that already.

My bet is that those girls have worked most of their lives to reach the points they've reached.
I'm not sure that's the case with quidditch and frisbee.
But certainly, the fan support for Equestrian isn't what it is for football.

Since it's an Olympic sport (whether one thinks it should be or not) I have to say it has a bit more prestige than that.
Of course, we don't have an equestrian team. Who ever heard of a private university filled with rich kids not having an equestrian team?

Is there Equestrian Championships for both men and women???
No, but I had carnal knowledge of a team member a few times (as did my good friends with other members), so I felt like the "we" was necessary. I got a lot closer to them than I ever did with he football players.

Congrats on being the worst poster on this board.
I'm sure the other 2 Florida fans that post here are so proud.

We were equestrian national champs in 2003, 2004, 2009, and 2010 (as well as 2008 and 2014).
I will not stand for this clear affront to our tCountryClub status!!!

I have a feeling that since it is now an SEC recognized sport there is about to be some kind of board equestrian rivalry between A&M, UGA, SC, and AU
We already got a taste of it a couple of months ago.

She's (I'm assuming Korin is a she, it posts like one) just jealous Florida doesn't have an Equestrian team. Instead, they have Women's Lacrosse.
