Did ESPN offer to partner with OU and A&M to have their own networks, too? If not, then that gave Texas a hugely unfair advantage over other Big 12 schools.

Speaking of steamroller. The last time we played yall, we were an SEC program. We set a Cotton Bowl record and sent yall back to the trailer park humiliated

Congrats on the program defining win back in *checks notes* 2012. What a historic achievement in aggieland. Really took your program to another level.

No, they didn't. I can't recall a single time since its inception that LHN ever provided a "hugely unfair advantage".

Can you provide me a cost/benefit analysis?

Yes. Our team was about 3 plays (in the positive) away from being 8-5 that year. They sucked and didn't like each other in the locker room.

Where there's smoke there's fire. Revisit this in 5-10 years and I bet there's more than what you're seeing on the internet these days.

All trolling aside, I'd take the invite over staying. I've loved every minute of being in the SEC but the conference goes back to a SWC/Big12-ish conference with the same issues now that UTrans is in.

Give me Ohio St, Mich, NEB, Penn St, Mich St, Oregon etc

In Big 12 play, TAMU was 5-11 vs. Texas. And 5-11 vs. Oklahoma.

Those are the "issues" they're talking about. They're full of shite and always have been.

There must be something about Texas that rubs people wrong. Back then, four universities didn’t just leave a major conference right around the same time for no reason. That was unheard of back then.

It's not complicated. Big 12 was forced into being by the Texas Governor (Baylor alum) and Lt. Governor (Texas Tech alum). It was a conference built on sand comprised of schools who wanted to join other conferences in the first place.

At the first opportunity, those schools pursue their longtime interests. Texas and Longhorn Network was the perfect excuse.

Will still be a pimple on that conference's arse. A&M just sucks.

I doubt it happens, but if it did it would be the only way that I could see the SEC adding any more teams. I don't think the SEC goes beyond 16 without some new revenue (which doesn't seem to be on the table right now). But if a team left they'd replace them.

A&M does have value. Not as much as Texas, but they aren't worthless to a conference wanting to get a chunk of the Texas viewership. But with Texas in the SEC, there wouldn't be any real loss in losing A&M and replacing them with FSU.
