i wouldn't mind seeing stud get his walking papers and LSU bring in kingsbury to be the qb coach/oc if the price was right.

I do have concerns about him being just a puppet oc but I dont think he could be much worse than what LSU currently has.

Hes really not that great. You can have him.

A&M really wasnt that bad off to begin with under Sherman. It just came down to leadership etc. JFF blooming is making him look like a genius.

im sure the tiger rant would flip its shite if we hired him based on his air raid past but I think he could improve our passing game while letting frank and the new oline coach keep our running game going like it is. It sounds like it wouldn't be all that hard to get him.

I'd much prefer to have a power running game and run a pro style offense but Ill bet that until the stables are stocked with big time croots, Sumlin sticks with this kind of O which should also coincide with JFF's departure. To put it another way, I want to see A&M emulate Bama long term rather than a South Carolina looking team.

i agree i prefer power football with a passing game that keeps you honest and can score. when you have the talent bama does and the qb proves he can execute like aj has done then you see homerun type runs from your backs. I believe LSU could achieve this with a oc that can help the passing game. I dont think any oc would be allowed to run the air raid at LSU and i wouldn't want to see it ran but i do think we could take an air raid oc and if he is a good one he would be able to adjust to our talent and make us at least a threat to complete a pass down the field.

We Ags aren't all 100% up on our team. Actual quote I heard in passing on campus:
"Our defensive coordinator, that Kingsbury guy, he just sucks."

You're talking about down field passing and completely neglecting the fact that Mettsiah is still your quarterback.

There ain't a QB Coach/OC on this planet that can un-herp derp Mett.

Comes with being successful. Someone will always find something to bitch about. Go watch the Tiger Rant sometime. Even if they're up 50-0 they will find something to bitch about and talk about how awful that particular position is.

i disagree. I do worry this year has made him a lost cause but he isn't getting a fair chance due to play calling. Now some of that falls on him for not being able to read the d but some of it falls on our injured line. They have been so bad we have had to go max protect and then combine that with our wrs are all basically slot guys and they dont catch and it makes things look much worse than they really are. Also mettsiahs qb coach has parkinsons so not sure how much help he is really getting from coaching.

A healthy line next year and better coaching from a qb coach and oc and mett might be fine and if not then we have a good qb recruit coming in. I would feel better if we brought in a big target for him but with the right oc our 8 slot wrs might be serviceable

Your banged up OL has played above their heads the last couple of weeks in my opinion.

And I was always under the impression that y'all max protected to simplify things for Mett and avoid him making decisions under duress. I could be wrong though.

Beckham is a player. Sheppard has been notoriously under-utilized his entire career there, and Kadron Boone was committed to Texas Tech at one point - meaning they thought he fit the Air Raid system. Your skill guys aren't that bad...especially when you consider the stable of backs y'all have.
