Chavis had great passing D at LSU. You know what else he had? Great DB's. You know what aTm has? Average DB's. Don't think having Chavis is going to make your defense better just by being there.

Slim is a dedicated hardworking guy who will do anything for the team. He plays special teams gunner and switched to corner his RS SR year.
I'm sorry stoops has no respect from his players. Probably because he's a slave to the star, and let's kids beat up women and still keep their spot on the team. Or takes other teams domestic abuse trash and offers to rehabilitate them, as long as they are 5 stars.

I don't think you are in position to comment on A&M's DBs or defense. LSU fans have clearly shown a bias they cannot overlook.

You guys keep making the same mistake in logic. We're not claiming that Chavis is going to make our defense as good as LSU's. But to state that Chavis, who, outside of LSU fans, is universally recognized as one of the greatest active DCs, won't make A&M better - considering that we had about the worst defense in America last year - is just retarded. I mean, just absolutely brain-dead stupid. We will be better. Great? I doubt it. But definitely improved.

I think our DL (particularly pass rush) chews up the ASU OL. Given our thin LB corps, I'd be a lot more worried if we were facing a running team like Wisconsin. We need some time to get healthy there, but since we'll likely spend most of our time in the Mustang vs. ASU, we're catching a bit of a break.
ASU has good DBs, but I think we have the WR corps and QB (whoever wins the job) to win that battle. We're transitioning a bit on the OL. This game might be the first live snaps for our starting LT (Redshirt JUCO Avery Gennessy) and LG (true freshman Keaton Sutherland). It's never optimal to have a true freshman start on the OL, but we've recruited OL well, and Sutherland has earned the job anyway.
I think we win.

There were posts all over one of their boards about how bad their OL has looked in practices. If they're admitting it then it's clearly an issue.

wow man. i havent had any contact with anyone from oklahoma since i left there in 2008. you just reminded me that its easily the trashiest state in the union. that says a lot, because im from se louisiana, and have lived in alabama, the high plains, north texas, mississippi and oklahoma.
