I still doubt those four corners will be named after anything other than corporate sponsors and big time donors.

Pretty much that.

Why wouldn't you just put John David Crow's name on the stadium instead of Bryant's name?

IIRC, all the names on the mock up were HC's names.

He coached 8 years at Kentucky, including winning them their only SEC title in a year they were arguably national champions.

Yet UK seems to not claim too much of the Bryant legacy.

When he coaches 23 years at one school and has a bazillion SEC and national titles there it's almost impossible for other teams to try to adopt him.

Let me guess...you believe your post was a highly original jab at my online character. Calling me a troll...well that's the most creative thing I've heard all day.

Kinda weird you'd post that though, when this thread has been about legitimate discussion and debate.

Seems like you're the only troll in here. Since you're trolling my thread...I just RA'd.

The Bear did more for us than he did for TAMU. Then he cursed us when he left. The Curse of the Bear is real.

U do know this is the same school that last year added an extra 3 big 12 champions on their wall when they didn't even play in the big 12 championship game

Bear only played DKR once at A&M so that's not some monster claim.

That is true, but I was also thinking of the '65 Orange Bowl and the '72 Cotton Bowl (I think it was '72). They tied in the 1960 Bluebonnet Bowl. Akers was coach at Texas when the Longhorns beat Bryant in what I think was his last Cotton Bowl following the '81 season.

I sure miss the Southwest Conference and the Cotton Bowl. There were some big names come to Dallas, both team-wise and Heisman Trophy-wise. CBS's featured bowl game (they also showed/still show the Sun Bowl). The Cotton Bowl, the Dallas Cowboys and J.R. Ewing were CBS centerpieces. Nothing like Lindsey Nelson welcoming you to Dallas, Texas, for the Cotton Bowl on CBS. I can hear it now.

Boy, am I rattling...

I've heard that Coach Bryant's name may be honored by a plaque at LSU's Tiger stadium, too. It seems that he has more wins there than many of the LSU coaches had.

Do you say this shite in head before you type it because if you don't I would highly recommend it. And for the record, Saban= 2 of Bear Bryant
