Ah, frick it. Good luck to y'all as well. This offseason has been insufferable and I for one am glad to see its final hours. Now go do us a favor and beat some SECW teams.

I am not a fan of the Steele hire but O has the Dline in gear and the secondary should be just fine.

LSU couldn't get notre dame off the field, got blown out by auburn, lost to miss st for the first time since 1999, and lost the game vs alabama in the last minute (again)

how anyone could look at LSU in 2014 and think they had some great defense is beyond me. they got torched this past year.

I don't see why A&M and LSU can't put down our weapons for a few minutes and have a mutual laugh at the sips.

Nobody ever has to put their guns down to laugh at the sips.

The Israelis and Palestinians can laugh at the sips together.

If you're running a 3-4, then yeah, dl sacks mean little to nothing. But you should have a few when running a 4-3.

And every Aggy disagrees with that opinion. They are all about lots of sacks.

I mean, sacks are not overrated. It results in negative yardage and is a huge morale booster for a defense.

Ogeron isn't a bit better. Sean Payton ran him off after one season because he was a poor DL Coach.

I remember when it was all going down some of our fans actually voicing concern about bringing Brick, since it was rumored he was coming with.

Then he went where he went and we all laughed

Replay the Texas Agdies whipping Auburn. Flagrant holding of Garrett most of game. Bet that doesn't happen as much this year without yellow laundry thrown.

I don't know shite about coaching DE and even I wondered why Hunter stood straight up at the snap and always seemed to want to go wide. What a waste he was at LSU. Glad he is turning it around in the League

John Chavis designed the scheme that had the Minnesota DL scratching his head. Brick just carried out the assignment. Chavis called the LSU plays on defense. Aggies will find this out, soon enough. JMHO, but I'm am so glad LSU has Coach Steele and Coach O. And the players are playing for them and love them. LSU will no longer send their DE wide....giving the OL a rest....blitz is on with the Tigers... they will record 30 sacks, minimum. The other big plus is LSUs recruiting staff...their relentless...already building top classes for next two years....Chavis was good x and o guy but his recruiting was terrible....sorry to say. Chavis made good adjustments but he had next to nothing to do with the defensive backs....that is Coach Raymond. I really wish the Aggies would have hired him two years ago....the talent he had to work with moved on to the NFL and he didn't recruit talent at the same level...this is getting fixed fast at LSU. I thought it would be next year the tigers would challenge for the west....now, I believe they have a good shot this year.

Yet another poster commenting on a subject you obviously know nothing about. Why don't you do yourself a favor and research the subject you're going to comment on.Orgeron's Dline resume speaks for itself.

The LSU fans are correct. Go back and look at Mingo and Montgomery. I rarely remember Mingo just whipping his man off the snap. Most of his sacks would come from when the DBs blanketed their guys, the QB flushed and Mingo disengaged and closed. And Mingo's burst/acceleration make A&Ms kid look like he's wearing concrete cleats.

If Mingo had been coached up just a little bit, he could have thrown some sack numbers on the board we'd be talking about decades from now.

Yeah unfortunately the Tigers took a step back at a position they became accustomed to dominating at,easy to understand the excitement over hiring O.

The talent LSU has on the DL every year, you'd think you could just grab two 5*s and say, "Sic 'em!" and be successful. Obviously, coaching matters.

(Although I'm not sold on O being a great technical instructor)
