Congrats on the 44-23 home loss to the probable 5th place SECW team. Hook'em!

Below is a post from the REAL Randolph Duke on shaggybevo mocking the Auburn article praising A&M.

quote:

Why I Mock the S$E$C$
The SEC is a wonderful athletic conference. Ethically, they are a wreck. They don’t just give out Fulmer Cups. You have to earn them. The SEC has earned most of them. Educationally, you are an embarrassment.

An article came across my desk tonight that I had to comment on. This is why I mock those athletes who sign with SEC teams and somehow convince themselves they are going to get an education. The article was allegedly written by an Auburn grad who somehow got a job working on Capitol Hill. He struggles to explain how he was impressed by his visit to College Station, TX. In his struggles, he gets lost time and time again. This article should be read by every student athlete trying to decide whether attending an SEC school will prepare them for life.

The article is titled “The Greatest Fans of the Greatest Fans” (LINK ).

I’m not even going to get snarky about things like initial caps.

“I always believed the Auburn Family was a cut above the rest”
Friend, “Auburn Family” is not a proper noun. Its "Auburn family"

“I want to preface these next few statement”
Preface the next few statement all you want, but making statement like that is what make us think S$E$C$ graduate are not very educated individual. (there is a snarky comment in there, in case the SEC contingent didn't catch on)

“We parted ways with him and walked towards Northgate for lunch and on our way we asked for directions to make sure we were going in the right direction. Again instead of giving us directions the middle aged man we asked walked us part of the way to our destination, asked us where we were from and welcomed us to College Station. We were blown away by this incredible hospitality. Not to mention later in the day this happened twice more as we made our way to the Memorial Student Center and then to find our gate entrance to the stadium.”
As far as your ordeal trying to get from your parking place to the stadium, it's not that tricky. In the Big 12 we pretty much just follow the other people with tickets in their hands. For over 100 years Big 12 fans managed to find the big concrete structure located in the middle of the big flat plain that is collieville, Texas. Why am I not surprised that even college educated people in the S$E$C$ get lost three times on their way from their cars to the only structure taller than two stories within 50 miles of where they parked?

Here is an english translation:
“We parted ways with him and walked to Northgate for lunch. On our way we asked an individual for directions to make sure we were headed in the right direction. Again, instead of just giving us directions, a TAMU fan walked us part of the way to our destination, asked us where we were from and welcomed us to College Station. We were impressed. Later in the day a similar display of hospitality was repeated while we made our way to the Memorial Student Center and then to the entrance of the stadium.”

“Towards the end of halftime, I read through my program and perused the section that talked about all of their traditions. I quickly realized that theses were more than traditions but instead a code of ethics on how to behave and treat your fellow man and more specifically those who come to visit College Station. From the Twelfth Man who stands ready for service, “Howdy” their official greeting to make everyone feel like family, and Aggie terms used for bad behavior like “Bad Bull” or “Two Percenters”. They literally police themselves and don’t allow their own supporters to act badly towards visitors.”
“theses” were more than traditions?! “theses” isn’t even a word in the English language. A mistake like that in an application essay gets you rejected from admission at a Big 12 school, but in the S$E$C$ it's a word graduates use in an essay extolling how great you are?!

As for their game day program, read and peruse some more. If you want to mention a Code of Ethics, read my earlier article on the 12th Man. LINK

I don’t want to be a $#@!, but go learn about things like initial caps, proper nouns, punctuation and spelling and then come back and explain to us about the “best of the best.” The Big 12 doesn’t have 7 straight BCS Championships, but we also don’t have as many Fulmer Cups as the S$E$C$. We also don’t have college graduates who struggle with the English language.

Excuse me for being a jackass, but we are talking about college football and if an article like that is what comes from the best and brightest of a given conference do you really even want to talk smack about your "student" athletes?

My guess as to whose alter it is? An Aggie trying to get a huge laugh out of the Ags on this board and reel in as many other SEC fans as possible.

Every game is a big game and the "lower tier teams" are better than most if not all the teams in the Bigtwatever. The lack of depth matters here where it didn't there. Most of all every team is bigger faster and stronger than our old foes.

re: A&M and Mizzou fans - what differences have you noticed in year 2 in the SEC? (Posted on 10/23/13 at 3:56 pm to Chuck U Farley) There is no "higher quality" in the SECSECSEC. Just a bunch of inbred hillbillies that can't read jerking each other off. If two irrelevant Big 12 teams can dominate in the SECSECSEC, then real teams like Texas should win. After all, the only reason Alabama won the 2009 title was because Colt got hit illegally.

Although you are probably some jelly SEC alter, you probably have captured the butthurt of many shorthorn fans.

I and any rational person knew that certainly over the last decade that the SEC was the premier football conference. Only the jelly would deny that. Alabama may have won the most titles but since 1997 FIVE different SEC teams have been National Champions and three of those have repeat appearances during that time. Facts don't lie, only biased jelly fans do that.

Would a fan of any SEC school other than A&M really know about the hilarity that is Randolph Duke though?

Maybe it's another WhiskyBent alter?

How important line play is would be the number one. It ALLstarts with line play and having quality on both sides with some experienced depth. Our O-line was desimated last year and it showed. Our lines on both sides put on weight, but not bad weight. It's showing this year in thier play. We have much better depth on the D-line also and scoring quick you need that. They rotate 7 to 8 players a game for the front 7 I think. So it keeps fresh legs in there throught he game and helps avoid injuries in a tough hardnose conference.

I would like to shout out and say that what a supprise on the responses with the Mizzou thread last night. Thatsone thing that suprised me. Even though it turned out to be a troll, a deep troll from one of our own. But it was nice to see some SEC brethren come to the aide of the newbies and also aTm was present. It had a big brother little brother feel to it. Nice to have respected and knowledgable backup. Even if it was an epic troll job.

1) Every team has talent. Even the middle and lower teams have top 25 recruiting classes. In the Big XII there were only 3 teams that consistently recruited well.

2) Due to #1, even teams that aren't ranked teams have the ability to pull an upset on any given weekend. Better show up every Saturday.

3) Season is so much better for the fans because of so many interesting/quality games. In the Big XII, you basically had 2-3 games a year you looked forward to. That why so many A&M fans loved the last game of the year vs. Texas. After playing Kansas, Iowa State, and Kansas State the previous three weekends.....fans are dying for a big game.

4) Awesome road trips, passionate fan bases, and elite stadiums. Baton Rouge, Tuscaloosa, Oxford...then sprinkle in the East teams with Nashville, Athens, and The Swamp. Again, that's a hell of a lot better than Waco, Ames, Manhattan Kansas, and Lubbock.

Stop!!! Are you saying that the stupid Duck fan, BamaFatigue, was not an Ary troll alter, but a Mizzou troll alter....????

That would be super sick!

I thought Chicken said the duck was using same IP address of a registered Arky poster.

The only real "Big 12" road trips that were truly unique and enjoyable were Manhattan, Kansas (Aggieville) and Lincoln, Nebraska. Never made it to Columbia, Missouri so I can't judge them.

Norman, Stillwater, Lubbock, Waco, and Austin were full of shitty and rude people...and the other trips were meh.

Aggieville in downtown Manhattan is VERY similar to Northgate in College Station.

As for me I've noticed all the games seem bigger. SEC football has been a hell of a lot more fun to follow in my opinion and it isn't even close.

I also like the fact that even though there is hatred among the fan bases they for the most part rally around the entire conference for ooc and bowl games
