A&M & Rutgers have a lot in common..

Football
0 National Championships since 1940
1 Conference Championship since 1995
3 Division Titles All Time

Basketball
0 National Championships
0 Elite 8’s since 1980 (A&M has never been)
0 Conference Tournament Championships since 1990
1 Conference Championship since 1990

Baseball
0 National Championships
2 Wins All Time in Omaha

Other / Misc
AAU School
Campus is located in a heavy populated state
Both sponsored by Addidas!

Confirmation from Bob Bowlsby:

Bob Bowlsby on what Big 12 is losing: "The difference between this one and any of the others is they've come off the top of the food chain."

The others that have moved have typically been the Rutgers and Marylands that were down in the ranks."

A&M and Rutgers are the best programs in their respective states, too, so this definitely checks out.

What’s up with Texas fans shitting on random programs? Rutgers is an expansion Big 10 team. Last time TU got into it with one of those (Maryland) they got their shite pushed in.

Which info above doesn’t include a “present day” statistic?

Rutgers gave us Looking Glass who gave us Brandy (You’re a fine girl.) That’s something.

Shouldn't have responded. If you don't respond to a post started by a Texas person I can see 40 or 50 responses from just Texas people. They love these echo chambers. Give it to them. And they may not play the first game in the SEC for a couple of years.

the future

We’ve been hearing about “the future” of A&M for 80 years. Do something then act like you belong. That’s why Aggies are considered the biggest posers in sports.

Someone else asked this question today.

Is Texas our Rutgers?

So I thought about it.. and determined that A&M is really more comparable to Rutgers. Both were good AAU schools in a state with a giant population. That was the primary reason they were added to the B1G and SEC. Both had decent athletic programs.. Missouri & Missouri fits that same mold.

I then went down a rabbit hole comparing the two schools.. and I honestly was shocked how much the two schools had in common. So it wasn’t random at all.. just a little thinking and digging based on a different question.

In a rivalry game, either team could win, regardless of record, regardless of ranking..

If Auburn beats Alabama 5 straight times, is Auburn the better program? Nope. Alabama has more skins on the wall, and until that changes.. they will be a better program.

Texas has a winning record over Oklahoma, yet Oklahoma is the better program.

Michigan has a better record over Ohio State, yet Ohio State is the better program.

Texas A&M probably has a better football team this year, but that doesn’t mean that Texas A&M would beat Texas, and even if they did, that definitely doesn’t mean that Texas A&M has a better football program.

With every post your ilk makes it exceedingly obvious y’all know nothing about Aggie Football.

I share my opinions, whether “my ilk” agrees with me or not.. Let’s have a healthy discussion about Aggie Football then.

Please explain to me what you think I am missing about Aggie Football.
