I thought my buddy was gonna get his arse beat that night. Walking around with his hat out telling UGA fans he was collecting rent. Seeing how we haven't won since, I should smack the shite out of him.

'04 was another one for me. Even tho y'all were undefeated at 9-0 we rolled into Auburn 8-1 & were looking like a great team... 24-6 later (we scored the 6 with 3 min left)...

Great thread. For a few moments - I enjoyed this rivalry again.

funny that in a civil thread between UGA and AU fans the first troll response would be from a cock.

And those 2 situations aren't remotely the same anyway.

It's a troll because it's true and you don't like it? Sorry, that's what I was first reminded of when I heard the description of that game and you were offended by UGA's recurrent history.

No, it doesn't make sense because the 2 situations weren't the same. The UGA/AU situations were nearly identical, and both happened against each other, and were already previously mentioned in the OP. You brought up a game that has nothing to do with anything, simply for spite.

Go easy on him. They know our pain. They were just 39 points away from an SEC championship.

Just google Jan Kemp. She was a faculty member who blew the whistle on remedial studies program for athletes. UGA doubled down on admissions of athletes with marginal(at best) qualifications. Couple that with the fact that we shunned Erk Russell as our HC after Dooley and gave the job to an assistant coach named Goff and you have UGA wandering in the wilderness for years. Goff wasn't even a coordinator.

You know when I started at Auburn in 1996 and people talked about the hoses, I was like that's ancient history. A long time ago. Why are you talking about this?

What was it? 10 years prior?

Now what do these college kids think when we talk about 1996? It was before they were born and I'm not even 40.

Hell Jason Campbell, Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams was 10 years ago.

Being a senior at Auburn now most talk about 2010 I remember 2004 but most of my friends weren't Auburn fans yet when that happened.

Vividly remember Rosegreen hitting Brown and the crowd being so quiet it was deafening

I started in 97 so I am there with you. I wasn't even an auburn fan until I started attending. I learned to love the hose story since it even now seems to still piss people off.

It would be nice to a win a national championship and not go wandering through the wilderness. Is it too much to ask?

I talk crap about auburn sometimes, but I can honestly say for the rest of my life I will NEVER forget that few minutes and how the AU fans reacted. Obviously at first it was deathly quiet, then you could start to hear a murmur. We were in the UGA section in the visitors endzone so we couldn't tell what was going on at first. After a few seconds we realized the auburn STUDENTS had started a "Reg-gie! Reg-gie!" chant that quickly caught on throughout the whole stadium. Unbelievable moment that I'll always remember.

I totally missed the game but that was a surprising score when I finally saw the TV.

That's back when we played defense. Good times, good times.

Well. I probably won't post during this game as I have a prior commitment, but dawg fans, although I want Auburn to win and would prefer it not be a contest (but that's evidently too much to ask of Auburn defense) I wish you guys well.

Here's to a civil pre and post game dsor.

WG, I was at that game as well. I was on the opposite side of the field than you were but was sitting in the middle of a ton of UGA fans with my UGA friends. I still remember how eerie that moment was. So thankful that Reggie was ok. That was a scary moment.

That was the first time I was legitimately scared while watching a football game.
