You are missing it, too. Go look at Felix Jones' situational stats. Look at McFaddens. Ask yourself the questions, which of those two played first, most, and which one was better.

Take the lessons you learn from that example and carry them to this one

How about instead of trying to come up with some convoluted argument, you just tell us what you think of Lacy so we can all tell you how wrong you are.

If someone thought Trent wouldn't be as good as Ingram, I would love to see that. I'm thinking that is a strawman. Ingram came out of nowhere when he broke out. I doubt people were debating the off-season before his heisman campaign how good he would be. I really think that for some reason Lacy has been the focus of this particular line of thought more so than other Bama backs.

Shocking to me that you'd say it never happened.

OK, go ahead and enlighten us again with your LSU logic. If there's one thing LSU fans are great at, it's predicting what will happen with Alabama's team. It's eerie how accurate you guys are.

So, why won't Lacy do well?

I didn't say he wouldn't. I didn't say anything about his performance. You are reacting like a child, though.

The numbers show that 66% of his carries came when Bama led by 8 points or more producing 78% of his yards. The fourth quarter is where he did most of his damage. He had his most attempts in the second quarter and interestingly had his lowest ypc which would make sense because of sampling error. Just thought that was interesting.

Lacy will shut LSU fans up all on his own in BR.

yeah man that makes sense...he was our backup last year. Lacy will be very good. No one is saying he will be the next Herschel Walker or Bo Jackson but he will be very very good. Easily one of the top 2 or 3 RBs in the SEC next year.

A team doesn't need a Herschel or Bo or even a TRich or Mcfadden. The conference is littered with Charles Scotts and Stevan Ridleys and Shaud Williams and Dicenzo Millers who can move the chains and be very effective.

He's arguably the fourth best RB in the country behind Lattimore, Davis, and Ball.

Do the math. Bama scored an average of 34.8 points per game and allowed only 8.2 points per game. What percentage of the game do you think Bama led by LESS than 8 points?

The part of the game Eddie didn't participate in given his dearth of carries in those situations.

Why do Bama fans have such huge chips on their shoulders?

therick711 has been nothing but polite and complimentary the entire thread, but he still gets trolling, a-hole-ish responses.

Because he's been an a-hole in most other threads he posts in involving Bama?

I've got better things to do than read through someone's post history.

OK, let's all play naive and act like we don't know where this thread was going from the beginning.

or

Let's spice it up, and do a comparison with the great stable of backs that LSU has.

I commend you on your work, though i barely read it. I believe in systems. I believe that when you recruit as high as bama does, when you coach as well as bama does, then a back like Lacy behind the #1 line in the country is going to have a great year. You could argue that Ball from Wisconsin isnt that great of a back (and perhaps the NFL agreed last year) but he still put up insane numbers in a run heavy Wisky offense.

At the end of the day i care about results and Lacy in Saban's Alabama offense will get them. Roll Tide!

As I said the other day, my leg is broken in multiple places. I've got the internet and XBL.

OK, I'll do the math for you then. Bama won by an average of 26.6 points. You say Lacy got 66% of his carries when leading by more than 8 points. Do you not see the correlation there? Eight points is 33.3% of 26.6. Almost an exact ratio.
