Lol, so you're saying Penn State, Wisconsin, MSU, and Michigan all have a better defense than Alabama?

Nope, just playing devil's advocate to your overconfident brethren. Alabama has a good defense. Great run defense. Ohio State's new QB is a pretty good passer.

Bottom line: I think Ohio State is pretty good. Alabama better not sleep on them.

I agree. Alabama can't afford to sleep once it's in the playoffs. Ohio State isn't a pushover, but I'm not losing sleep over the Sugar Bowl.

Ohio State can prove they're good by beating Alabama.

Which means they have more talented players, as of right now.

He is a pretty good passer, and has a great arm. But I like our chances seeing how he's more of a north-south runner, and Alabama tends to have more trouble with QB's who can threaten to take off when there's nothing downfield. He won't be able to sit back there all day with Reed, Allen, Dickson, and Anderson coming after him and make smart decisions.

on't buy for a second that some draft ineligible player on Bama is better than an FSU starter at any position.

Wow. I hope you are joking. You dont think cam robinson, derrick henry and a shawn robinson are better than FSU players? Ok. This explains a lot

Maybe we should run numbers on the total offensive ranking of teams Wisconsin and Alabama faced. It's easy to have great defensive stats when you play a bunch of weak or 1-dimensional offenses.

You mean like 2/3rds of the sec offenses? The only sec offenses that were balance were Miss st, bama and auburn.

Saban didn't luck his way into a 6-2 record versus Miles the past 8 games, and he didn't need luck to win his 3 SEC Championships. Everyone is entitled to believe what they want to believe. 2012 Oregon would have been a better match than 2012 Notre Dame, but Notre Dame unfortunately did not lose a game.

You needed Iowa state to beat okie state plus Saban to go up on gameday and beg to get in in 2011. In 2012 you needed Ohio state to be on probation to get in. That's right y'all conviently forget there was an undefeated bcs comferemce team at the end of that year.

Not in the regular season. For 4 straight years , in the regular season, bama hasnt played the 1st,2nd or 3rd place east finisher.you havent played uga since 2008 and USC since 2010. Bama has the best coach and the best recruits and still loses every year. So stop acting like 2 losses with less overall talent is so different than 1 loss with more talent. Saban's record against top 10 opponents proves that he loses games he shouldnt too.
Dude, please, please, please stop.

Please.

7/8 regular season games between Saban and Miles came down to the wire. I really don't know. I don't follow recruiting or the draft. Alabama has a tough schedule too. I can't make a true prediction until October at the earliest. Based on what I've learned through this thread among other things, I'd pick LSU to beat Alabama.

You're right. Way too early, and impossible to say. As an LSU fan, I am encouraged by the talent returning and don't think it's delusional at all to be positive. I'm not a fan who is ready to get rid of miles and don't believe he is over rated. But I'm just a fan. I have no control over who the head coach is or which QB starts.
This thread is about LSU fans unrealistic expectations? I don't think winning the west is an unrealistic goal for LSU.

Only Alabama is allowed to play their so called C game. No other team can't play their C game. For your stupid information LSU was by far not playing their A game either. They have not played it the whole fricking year so what does that say about Alabama barely winning!!! Just worry about your own team and leave LSU out of things. There is something to look forward to, this was a very young LSU team, in fact only Tennessee played more freshman so go find something else to nit pic about!!!

Just remember this we played 17 true freshman this year and most likely will have 18 starters back next year to go with the fact that the west is going to be way down go ahead and take your shots because the next two years you won't have the chance.
