Michigan could barely handle Akron, I think they'll drop a few games actually.
People are ready to crown Ohio St. for going undefeated, yet last year they struggled against Wisconsin, Purdue, Michigan St., and Indiana.
It didn't keep them from going undefeated.
LSU barely handled Auburn last year. What's your point?
2011 you barley handled Miss. St.
2010 you barely handled Tennessee and west Virginia
2009 you barely handled Washington
No disrespect meant...but every year a team, almost EVERY team struggles against someone they should easily beat. Doesn't mean they won't win the Natty, or play for it.

A one loss SEC team will certainly get in. That's the advantage of the SEC Championship game. It adds one additional ranked opponent to inflate the computer rankings. No way an undefeated Louisville gets in over a one loss Bama, LSU or Georgia.

Every major conference plays a championship game now.
The B1G will probably pit Ohio St and Michigan against each other. I could easily see them splitting. (Last game of season and then their championship)

In fairness Akron is spectacularly terrible. Having the game come down to the final play against them isn't just struggling against a mediocre opponent.
Akron has won 4 games in 4 years, including 27 straight losses on the road, and were a 38 point underdog.
Having a bad day against a mediocre team happens.
But this was escaping by the skin of your teeth vs. one of the absolute worst FBS teams in the country.
Not the same thing.

I agree. But if Michigan or Ohio St. does not lose, the undefeated one would go. Then if Oregon or Stanford goes undefeated, it would be difficult to keep them out.
NOW...I don't believe this will happen, but it is possible.

You mean dominated them defensively allowing less than 200 yards of total offense? Yeah real nail biter.
By the way it's 2013 and it's unbelievably pointless to discuss crap from last year, or even 2 years ago. I think Oregon is 100 million times better than Ohio state and I could give a shite less what they do but Michigan is not and will not beat them plain and simple.

Every year at this time people think there will be all these undefeated teams at the end. Only once during the BCS has it happened. People will lose.
Exactly.
Without even doing research just off the top of my head undefeated BCS title matchups.
Texas USC
Oregon Auburn
OSU Miami
Alabama Texas

Any undefeated team in a major conference will get in over any one loss SEC team.

Have you watched any of their games? They aren't very good and will likely lose a game they shouldn't.

I understand what you are saying...but nonetheless spectacular losses happen. Appalachian St./Michigan.
North Dakota St/Kansas St
Eastern Washington/Oregon St.
In 1998 Temple was winless and beat #5 Virginia Tech.

Everyone does know that a certain vest is at Akron, and even though he's not in a coaching position, he probably gave some insight.

I think the point being was that usually there are very few if any undefeated teams. not that it never happens, but it certainly doesn't happen all the time. Last year was a prime example of teams that were unexpected to lose...did.
I mean...can you look at the prime teams to go undefeated and say that there will definitely be two undefeated teams from major conferences?

I have a tendency to agree with you on this point. However, I don't see there being two undefeated teams from other conferences. is it possible? Definitely. Probable? Not in my opinion. Of course, everybody has an opinion and mine is no better, or worse than you.

Ohio State is not losing a game in the horrible big 10. Oregon (likely) or Stanford (less likely) is going undefeated.
I disagree.
Ohio State could easily lose to Wisconsin, Northwestern, Michigan, or even in the Big 10 Title game
Oregon will lose a game when its offense fails. Chip Kelly was 2-6 in games decided by 7 points or less at Oregon (one of those was 13-10 over a bad Cal team)
Stanford can't seem to beat Washington
Clemson will lose to Florida State, South Carolina, or both.
Florida State will shite the bed against a nobody (or Florida) once again.
The only unbeaten team will likely be Louisville unless Rutgers can stop the nonsense.

13 point win, on a short week away.
Miss St > Akron.
LSU 2011> Michigan
LSU 2011> LSU 2012
