I still question his ability to recruit. He came in a very close second in the Austin Nichols and Kevon Looney sweepstakes. If he had closed in either recruitment I would be extremely pleased.
He has done a very good job developing players, no doubt about that.

A year ago Pinkel was looking at an early assassination attempt for his "coaching".
A year later he wins the SECE. & MU fans want him to run for office.
I promise you're not a hypocrit, bro.

Yes. Why do you ask?

Totally agree. That's the whole point of this thread.
I have a weird feeling that you missed the point.

I was agreeing with you...then just pointing out the antithesis of Cuonzo for comparison. I thought it was interesting to see both ends of the spectrum.

Cuonzo is actually building a program.
Haith is convinced that hotshot transfers will take Mizzou to the promised land.
The problem is that Haith is no Calipari

He just doesn't have the discretionary budget that Calipari has.

I worry that he's gonna tab into deep pockets and bring the Mizzou program down in scandal...I sense it coming...

Cuonzo is a future power coach.
UT will be back in the middle of the pack next year... and people will be b*tching about his boring style of play and no offense... just wait.
with their talent, there is no reason this team should've been a play-in 11 seed... that fact, coupled with how poorly the SEC was this year, should make any Martin supporer a little nervous.

true...except you can blame the NCAA for that play-in game fiasco rather than Cuonzo.

Where does the "middle of the pack" start? I would say finishing in the middle of the pack would be 6-8... Should it be 5-9 instead?
Regardless, since Cuonzo took over, Tennessee has finished the regular season:
4th (2013-14)
5th (2012-13)
2nd (2011-12)
The last time UT finished below 5th in the conference was 2010-11...and that was when Pearl was still the HC and the SEC was still in divisions...UT finished 5th in the East that year
