He went for it on 4th and 1 out of pure arrogance

He would have done the same no matter the score

Man, I wish Auburn wouldn't have choked in Pasadena. There would be way less of this stuff.

Everybody knows Yeldon got the first on 3rd down but that's another story.

I would have called a play action pass to OJ Howard on 4th and 1.

I'll be happy when the rant decides they have had enough circle jerking over this.

If he doesn't go for it on 4th down, and instead kicks another field goal, we get to hear how he should have gone for it (there would've been another miss)... Since he did go for it, came up short, and turned the ball over, we get to hear how he should've kicked the field goal.

Auburn was just better than Alabama, and proved it.

That's complete bullshite. If he had any confidence in his kicker, he would've kicked the field goal to put us up by 10 with ~5min to go. May have been enough to win the game

Great link, particularly when he starts talking about the offsides penalty.

This is my last post for the night, but between AJ and Michael Sam WJOX is gonna be all day

Let's face the truth here. Had AJ gone in round 1 Bama fans most likely would be starting threads letting posters on here know how wrong they were.

AJ is news and this is a place that will bring it up. He has said a lot of things and when things go differently folks are going to use it for discussion, flame, troll, etc. right, wrong, or indifferent.

I think his handlers have done a poor job managing him thus far. He should just say no more and work hard and let his play do the talking.

Ugh, dummazz0 he is telling the truth.

Last year after getting hit in the Miss St game he played with excruciating pain for 3 games, that is why he was in tears. vs LSU last year, not because he led the winning drive.

No doubt he talks to much on twitter, but he is not a POS computer thief nor a person who steals other peoples term papers.

Or even someone that steals teammates stuff out of their locker.

As a fan of a team that excepts thugs from other teams you might want to STFU about a good kid.

This quote from the article is pretty telling:

quote:

"The bar in his mind is set really high and I know he felt this is a long way down the road for him to get picked," quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese said. "He's happy being picked, but he saw himself in a much higher light in regard to how the NFL saw him."

#1 taken in the draft and starter in the NFL. Something your honest QB will never be able to say.

AJ is a tool who succeeded off of the work of those around him.

In fairness, AJ lived in a bubble his entire college career. All college players at SEC and other major programs do to some extent. However, Saban keeps stuff locked down which means players don't make dumb comments to the media but also they don't get their ego checked or suffer the backlash for making those dumb or careless comments. Add in the regular Bama bubble, where players are deities on and off-campus and across the state and it's quite easy to lose perspective.

What's worrisome is that he's been out and about for a while now and despite getting rightfully called out it's as though it all goes in one ear and out the other. Combine that with decision to do the reality show, yet another bubble albeit a very different one, and it doesn't look like AJ's gonna get the message any time soon. He might be able to grow up a little bit or at least be more self-aware and aware of others if he ever does get that message.

That sums it up. So did McElroy.
