Everything else on offense wasn't too bad.

Yes, Defense was the Achilles heal. However, I think it'd be more fair to say that our back end was the problem. We held serve fairly well against running offenses. But our Defensive Secondary was the real problem.

Maybe it is more simple than all of that. "Defensive depth" changes the game plan, schemes, and more.

We were one giant Heel. Vince McMahon signed everybody involved to a match against John Cena.

O-line. Too many penalties at inopportune times and allowing negative yards.

Alabama's Achilles heel in 2015 has been penalties.

We've had so many promising drives die to completely pointless and unforced 5 yard penalties and such.

Our offense has struggled with consistency and overcoming penalties is tougher than usual.

Obviously turnovers killed us in the one loss, but outside of that game we didn't turn it over too much.

FG kicking looked like it would be a huge liability at the start of the year but Griffith has mostly pulled it together (although he's still got some shank potential in him).

Secondary

Are we watching the same Bama team? OL and drive killing penalties were way worse than the secondary. Oh and special teams coverage.

Depth at QB and RB is also a bigger liability than our secondary. I can't wait to watch the secondary the next cpl years.
