Weird this has to be said, but I see a lot of mUlliGAn fans on the board that seemingly have no idea what a dynasty actually is.

Within 4 years if you are elite AF like Bama dynasty 09, 11, 12

Within 5 years if you're simply elite 11, 12, 15

Allowed to argue a possible dynasty at 3 out of 6 like Bama 15, 17, 20 if you have already established a dominant dynasty in the years leading into the 3 outta 6.

Once all the dynasties start running together you are allowed to claim the entire era as your dynasty:

09, 11, 12, 15, 17, 20, 23

You certainly can NOT claim a dynasty if youre the second best team in your conference. If you're getting beat down routinely in your conference championship game it negates any claims to a dynasty of any sort. Dynasties are pure excellence.

I'm not sure when I would specifically say a team is a dynasty, but I know it when I see it.

I always find these gatekeeper types of threads a strange mixture of insecurity and autism.

It's a similar mentality as criticizing fans for running on the field after a victory.

This is nothing more than a PSA for the confused portion of your fanbase.

I'm trying to be nice and civil. woof woof

This thread looks like someone with autism, or at least a strong touch of Aspergers, wrote it. You're just pulling stuff up, trying to sound like you're intelligent and like you are getting it from some authoritative handbook or something, and upon inspection, it's just a bunch of gibberish.

I disagree. It's too hard for me not to call early-2000s USC a dynasty. More weight should be added to overall, long-term contention

Well, not really. Because they have not been able to win their conference, and because unfortunately (and of no fault of their own) a real dynasty is actually taking place it would be hard to claim a dynasty until Bama is actually dethroned.

I think a good first step in this direction would be for mUlliGAn to beat Alabama in the SECCG, and then win a title against someone better than TCU.

Bama insecurity only exists on a day that ends in Y.

That is a run, not a dynasty

A real dynasty like Alabama football or Kentucky basketball has MULTIPLE coaches over MULTIPLE eras with lots of Natty's in the record book. Heck, Georgia Tech has 4 Natty's, with 4 different coaches, in multiple conferences, over decades and decades (including Heisman as their coach) and nobody calls them a dynasty.

Folks have the attention span of a gnat these days.

Exactly, but would Alabama be Alabama without ...

Wallace Wade (game Tulane backed out of put Alabama on the map)
Frank Thomas (showed WW was not a fluke)

Who exactly did Bear Bryant play ball for?

A dynasty begins when bama fans feel threatened and start making long posts about why you're not acktually a dynasty

You’re currently looking at another man’s bare lower back?

No, seriously... mUlliGAn has not achieved an *actual dynasty. These are just facts. Youve only managed to win your conference 1 time, and that was thanks to dodging Bama. Lol

Georgia is 1-5 vs Bama under kirby. That is the opposite of a dynasty.
