I full understand the intent.
You rambled, fumed, called me a horses arse..then to sum it up you claimed Auburn fans have to try to rationalize being a legit, relevant program....that part showed you were on tilt and introduced your very own disillusionment.

I see nothing wrong with the time frames.
92- First year SEC has 12 Teams and a Championship game
2000- Change of the most recent Decade.
2006- 5 years ago.
And in all that hey atleast we are above OM and Miss State in 2 of them

Wow - how sad. I stated Auburn is a legitimate program - those that rationalize it by skewing numbers or taking certain periods in time to show it are the sad cases.
I have no illusions about a program being superior to another year after year when they trade victories and championships.
La-Monroe is no more superior to Alabama than Vanderbilt is to Auburn - even though each program got the better of the other at the last encounter.

The way this is compiled is dumb as frick. 2006-2011 counts as half of the formula, 2000-2011 counts as 1/3 of the formula, and 1992-2011 counts as 1/6 of the formula.
There is zero logical reason for this.
If it was 1992 through 1999+2000 through 2005+2006 through present, divided by 3, it would be a little better.

1. He is not a bama fan and therefore, he is likely capable of adding and subtracting crooked numbers without killing too many brain cells or taking too much time.
2. He would have had to try a lot harder to make bama look like they are as good as AU. He would have had to have reached way back, 4 decades into sometime in the 1970's and before scholarship limits, to put bama in a favorable light compared to AU.
