Well, with Texas being down for a while and getting teams like Kansas and K-State or Iowa State etc, I would hope OU gets 10 wins. But then you have beasts in that conference like TT and West Virginia.

Average. This year it would be fire-worthy.

which equates to 9 1/3 wins in a 13 game season - meaning 10 wins is really pretty much average for Bama,

Wouldn't that be closer to 9?
Don't get me wrong. I am one that has nothing but respect for Alabama football and what you have accomplished.....but do you really need to fudge it?

They add championships whenever they want. What's wrong with adding an extra win a year for 100 years.

For 2016 it would be 2/3 of the job done.

Right now it would be a disaster of a season. All things being relative, I recall a few seasons that making a non-primetime bowl would be a nice goal.

Under Nutt: Amazing
Under Petrino: a good season
Under Bielema: hopeful
Under John L: every team on our schedule died in a tragic plane crash the week of our game. Somehow 2 of those teams still beat us.

A slightly above average season in the Nick Saban era. A slightly below average season in the Les Miles era.

Yet for so many schools, it's really difficult to have back to back seasons with 10 wins or more.

No it means 10 wins is pretty much a game above average for Alabama football. Quit giving yourself .75 of a game
